A new page has just been added to the Newark Air Museum website that details the participants who have booked in so far for the Cold War Call Up 20 event in May!
Details in here http://newarkairmuseum.org/Museum-Events
An event update from NAM:
“We’ve just added an Email link to the Cold War Call Up page on our website, which all allow former V-Force personnel to contact us if they wish to participate in the Meet & Greet part of the event on 16 & 17 May, 2020.
Perhaps worth noting the following information that was posted on the Classic British Jets Collection Facebook page on 07.02.20
“There is a lot of speculation about the future of Bruntingthorpe proving ground. The Classic British Jets Collection Team are extremely thankful for the support we have been given by the Walton family.
At this time we have no information on the future of aviation activities at Bruntingthorpe.
We would like to ask all of our supporters and fans of all the aviation groups/aircraft that call Bruntingthorpe home, to refrain from speculation about the future.
It must be remembered that Bruntingthorpe proving ground is first and foremost a business premises owned by the Walton family.
Once we have information about future of the Classic British Jets Collection we will let you know.
Thank you for your ongoing support
CBJC Team”

Following being reported in various parts about another weather watch being operated by Newark Air Museum this weekend:
“Another quick post to advise that NAM is on Weather Watch again ahead of Storm Dennis – the current plan is to try and open as normal on Saturday 15th February; and then review the situation during the day and for Sunday 16th February. A few more details on the website.

A further update. The Puma team were aware of the rotor-head, which has been declined on a previous occasion.

Thanks again!
Thank you for the heads up; I have made the rebuild team on XW208 aware of these items.
NAM website reporting the following info this morning:
“We have re-opened as planned today, Monday 10th February; a tether came out on the Rallye and moved it slightly, but nothing damaged; plus a couple of barrows changed formation – otherwise all OK!”
Info from Newark:
“Our aim is to re-open the museum tomorrow (10th February), but this is still subject to a site inspection in the morning!
Full details in here – http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/latest-news “
Info form other fora & the NAM website:

NAM will be doing a traditional outdoor Aeroboot / Aerojumble alongside their Cockpit-Fest event in June, dates etc. in this weblink: http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/2020_Special-Events
Cannot guarantee that anyone will be selling from the back of a C-130 though; also I cannot change my Avatar on the new forum!
Being reported elsewhere that:
“All of the tables have now been allocated (sold) for the Indoor Aeroboot / Aerojumble aviation sale on 4th April and the museum is now operating a Reserve Waiting List for anyone who might want to book a table if it becomes available!

Face to face #aviation trading!”
Spotted this update on the NAM website earlier:
“By 12 noon on 25.01.20, forty one (45) tables have been booked and paid for & only 3 remain to be allocated.”
Something that’s been posted elsewhere but that I thought might be of interest to some on here!
“Earlier in the week we became aware of 2 fascinating Pathe News clips featuring Taylor Monoplane G-APRT that is displayed in Hangar 1. They really highlight the ‘homebuilt’ aircraft description!
