Just in from Newark Air Museum: “We have just confirmed the details of our early May 2023 Bank Holiday opening times – we have no closures planned!
Thanks for the feedback, which I will share with everyone involved – positive comments have also come in from elsewhere.
There’s no judgement here either way about people staying over, I know that the museum is just pleased that it can help to encourage parts, books, kits etc. back into circulation. Roll on June – forms will go out quite soon to last weekend’s sellers to give them the first chance at the spaces.
I will make sure that your comments are fed back through.
Sorry that you didn’t get a burger from JV; he seems to have got the ‘aviation-bug’ on what was his second visit to NAM – further visits may arise and I do know that he’s been made aware of Cockpit-Fest. That said he was aware last year, but schedules didn’t work out – he’s very genuine and good company!
Aeroboot forms for June were not circulated at the weekend (not enough time to get them prepared) – but the spring sellers will get first dibs quite soon!
A gentle reminder!
“On 14th April 1973 the museum made it ‘official’ and opened to the public for the first time; this weekend we will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of this opening with a two day event!
Why not come & join us?
