Indian Air Force at Istres
Hi all
Last week we spend some days at Istres Airbase in the south of France.
Although the base visit was a bit disappointing, we still had a very
nice trip and we were lucky to take some good shots of the Sukhois and Il-78 from outside the base. The visit to Marseille was worthwhile too with
Algerian and Mexican heicopters and a lot of Securite Civile aircraft.
I made a log, with the story, the pictures and the funny extras. Have a
look:

Hi Miesten
Could you tell me. What do you miss on the RMAF pages ?
Hi Hawk75.
Croatia is planned to be online this year, same goes for Ukraine and Vietnam. Also looking for info on some African countries
Frank
HI Himanshu
Yes, the gallery was quite large but the pictures were a bit outdated sometimes and were already online since 1998, so it was time for a new one. And now everyone has a digital camera so the online pics will be better and better.
Just wait, more will be added in the future !

Hi.

To clarify a bit. At Scramble we have a team of about 50 volunteers which produce a magazine of 160 pages each month. About half of the team is civil oriented, the other half military, while combinations are possible. Each editor has its own areas of interest
About the Military editors. We have one person doing only the USAF, and one dedicated for the UK. Other countries are divided amongst the other editors. Jaap Dijkstra has the task of do research to the more “obscure” countries, and this task is performed day and night sometimes 🙂 Also other editors spent a lot of time doing research on serveral other countries . Especially the team for Latin America (Erwin van Dijkman / Wim Sonneveld) and the editors for Asia and Mideast (Marco Pennings and Marco Dijkshoorn) did a lot of work researching their air forces lately resulting in having 13 new air force overviews this week.
The result of their research is published monthly in our magazine for which now also an english translation is available. Also the team maintains a database with as much as the inventory of each airforces. These databases are freely available online at http://www.scramble.nl/databases.htm
The issue Steve is referring to is our special edition comprising 300 pages, to celebrate our 300st edition. This is a normal Scramble but added with a lot of extra topics:
