Has anyone got any pics of the Piston engined Orlik?
Which aircraft do you target? The Fw 190 or the Ju 88?
What The…
OK before things get a little nasty I think this discussion about Australians being racist should stop.
As an Australian I’m not racist despite what d’clacy and Canpark seem to think or say, and nor are the majority of Australians.
I suggest that which every country you come from be it European, American or Asian, none of us have a perfect record when it comes to the treatment of other nationalities. Look at the colonial rules enforced by many European countries (UK, Portugal, spain, France etc), The American treatment of African slaves and the treatment of one Asian country vs another (Japan v China, Indonesia v East Timor etc).
The White Australia policy is a thing of the past like the slavery in most countries (unfortunately not all). Learn from history but don’t let it rule us.
Now lets get back to the important things.
Oh by the way before you ask, I have a French father and Scottish mother and I was born in a British Military Hospital in Malaysia, and my wife is Polish. So as you can see I have an interesting view on this.
Catalina
This is the RAAF Museums Catalina (A24-124) it is complete even the toilet paper in the head, but they feel that it needs to undercover until able to be displayed properly. Incredibly nice restoration.
Not a Yak-200?
Any idea what it’s Brazillian designation will be?

Hampden, Whitley and Hereford
Here are some of my pics. The Hereford is a shockingly coloured picture of dubious quality but I inluded it for interest.
As a collector of coloured pics the Whitley and Hampden a incredibly hard to find.
I sure most people will have seen the Hampden pics I have. Has anyone got any more?
Werribee B-24
P.S. Great shots Spite, How goes the old boys building the B-24 Lib down your way)
Thanks, as for the gentlemen and the B-24 I’ll just fill everyone else in for a sec.
There is a collection of Ex RAAF WW2 gentlemen about 5 minutes from were I live rebuilding a B-24J resplendant in RAAF markings.
These guys and their support staff of equally great wives love what they are doing and if you go in (for a small coin donation) they will let you (carefully) romp around their bird of which they are very proud.
Imagine then their degree of upsetness when some low life breaks in and steals all their tools. The local community then rallied and got them new ones.
Then a few months ago same thing this time lathes and the like. Once again the community rallies and gets them replacements.
Then…the roof collapses on their hanger 🙁 fortunately damage fairly minor but now they are looking for a new home.
How ever these people are nothing if not indomitable and they declare they will succeed (and I think they will). I’ll see if I have some pics and contact details.
Some of mine
Here are some of mine including another of Enola Gay
Some how some Russian and Chinese Tu-4’s slipped in 🙂
A couple of possibly urban myths about the Tu-4.-
1. When Tupolev got the job to reverse-engineer the B-29 the engineers were so scared of retributuion from Stalin that they copied the B-29 exactly, right down to battle damage repair patches. When asked about them some time later they replied that htey were vitally important parts of the aircraft structure.
2. Now whenTupolev re-did the B-29 it had a certain diameter of the fuselage. From the Tu-4 the Russians developed the Tu-80 and Tu-85. From the Tu-85 they developed the Tu-95/142 (Nato Bear). The Bear has the exact same fuselage diameter as the B-29.
