Hi Smirky
I am unfamiliar with your TLA but guess it means Big F….. Hammer, is that right?

Hi Magiczig
I ‘may’ be interested in the GEE RF receiver but neeed to do some further research to see if it is the one that fits in my plane.
In the meantime though, if you are going to dismantle anything I am looking for 1 knob like the lower ones shown in the photo below (you will see the middle one is missing).
Cheers

Mig 29 stick
I have posted this before but will redo it as I am really keen on this stick from a Serbian Air Force Mig 29, tail number 18114.
On the 26th March 1999 2 Mig 29’s flown by Major Peric in 18114 and Captain Radosavljevic in 18113 were shot down over Bosnia by Captain Hwang a USANG pilot flying a F-15C. Peric ejected and survived however Radosavljevic was killed.
Perics aircraft crashed largely intact and many pieces of it were souvenired, the parts I have are the remains of the control column which was severely damaged with most of the grip portion broken off and one of the missile fins. I only have a very small photo of the stick remains in situ so if anyone has one I would be very keen to hear from you.

Here’s the 2 on my wall, an F4 rear seat stick and a Mig 21. Also a pic of one of several sold to me as being from a French Mirage, previous discussion has led to its possible identity as being Mirage IV rear cockpit radar controller but does anyone have a definitive answer.
Rocketeer – love that B52 yoke!
If anyone has access to Soviet stuff I would love to hear from you, even it is just buttons and such.

The Canberra will be open for the kids to climb in although I may take the bomb sight out as it is a magnet for them to push and pull at!
It would be really great if we could get a few forumites to come along, it should be a good day and Dave has a lot of space so that is not an issue.

Mig 21
And there’s something that looks suspiciously like a Jag behind it 😎
or maybe 2!
I suppose not being contacted by Key has put extra stress on the 3 members as they could possibly be facing some sort of personal legal action as well, but without the information that Key knows and they don’t they are probably unsure of their exact situation and are probably contemplating all sorts of scenarios.
Keep your chins up fellas.

Very Sad.
What I would like to see in this type of case -which has happened before- is for the government organisation / large company / private individual who feels aggrieved to actually join the forum community, put forward their arguments / information / side of the story in the appropriate thread and stimulate informed discussion on the topic, if disagreement or offence still ensue then sure take it up a notch.
Unfortunately I don’t see this happening, people get offended and instead of stepping forth to sort it out they choose to remain faceless and wield the big stick on people whose identity is plain for everyone to see.
Regards
Paul
Hi Hindenburg, its not as clear as I thought, in fact it is pretty well obscured but here goes, Number 14.
I’ve got a photo of an AMU fitted in a Canberra, don’t know what mark it is but am guessing you are more interested in a Stirling one? There was discussion on the Canberra forum of how it actually worked which I could repost here if it would help.
I am looking for a Canberra one btw.

Just my thoughts on the matter, I don’t believe any Bedouin would have bothered to open the canopy (if they knew how), remove and bury the body (if it was inside) and then close the canopy again.
I do believe however that it could have been possible for a small team of German or Allied combatants during WW2 to have done so but then met their own demise before they had reported the find and location. Or maybe it was reported but it was forgotten about at the time as there were more pressing issues at hand, the Desert Air Force Squadrons were in a full blown retreat after all. Maybe they closed the canopy to protect the contents as they thought someone would be along shortly to recover any useful items.
This is all assuming that he was fatally injured in the crash, nobody knows for sure. He may even have been severely injured but alive and taken away with whoever got him out of the cockpit.
