There is a diagram on this website showing the starter handle arrangement, it is possible the door you have is the small rectangle shown under the starter handle. Just a guess really but still a possibility.

I would also try the Military Aircrew section of pprune, lots of leads to be had there.
Awesome artwork, looks absolutely fabulous. I will probably get burned bad here but shouldn’t the tracer from the Shilka be arching in the opposite direction? ie if the gun was elevating downwards as it tracked the TSR-2 it would be going in the reverse, this looks like it is elevating upwards in the opposite direction to the target.
Just me being very pedantic. Once again great job.
Cheers Paul
Yes I do have an E2B but it is in poor condition, no fluid, cracked and crazed exterior, light does not work etc..

Hello,
I have finally edited/cropped some of my photos of the day, once again thanks to fellow members of the forum who advised me on the days program. On another matter I see that the latest edition of Air Force News claims that there will be some C models going to tender for museums or other parties, anyone interested only needs to fork out approx 2.5 million aussie dollars to have the aircraft demilitarised and removed of asbestos! Full article is here on page 36, in the blue box.

With the help of another forumite I managed to attend the event as well, will try and post some photos early next week.

Hi kodak,
Thanks for all the great photos. In the ones of ‘F’ and ‘M’, 5th and 6th last photos the squadron colours are opposite, why is that?
Paul
Thanks Pagen.

Can someone please explain the logic to me of advertising something for 6000 pounds and not even including a single photo?
Paul
I would be very interested if anybody has photos of XX977, she spent a fair bit of time as an instructional airframe at St Athan.
Thanks Paul
It is a little known fact that the Atomic energy commision (or whatever they now are) run a guided tour of the Nevada Test Facility about 10 times a year. You are picked up from their office in Las Vegas and taken for a full day trip at no cost visiting all of the main sites such as the apple houses, sedan crater, valley of the gods, place where they fired the nuclear artillery shell from etc… Overall a very good day although it takes a fair bit of effort for non US citizens to get on it – my friend and I had to wear special red passes denoting us as foreigners! I have to admit it was quite an experience to actually stand in the crater of a nuclear bomb.

Thanks for the link Andy.
Hmmm… What is the price?
Hey, if you and your dad are bored now that the trailer is complete I know where there are 2 cockpits looking for trailers!

A few years ago I found a site on the web with lots of photos (current) of abandoned Japanese aircraft that were in imminent danger of being swallowed up by lava, apparently the traditional owners do not want them removed. After a quick search I couldn’t find the site again, would be interested if anyone knows where it was.
