Ha Ha The wooden handle on that spade is remarkably well preserved!

Hi PeterW
Without looking I am pretty sure I have multiple copies of Memphis Belle as pictured below, they are only small daybills about 12 x 24 inches (approx), if you PM me your address I will send one to you but will be off the net for the next 5 days or so. I have all the Pearl Harbor posters including the 3 individual ones that join together to make a larger picture.
I also saw this on the net but it is very expensive
All the best Paul
It is funny that this thread was just started as the poster below only arrived in the mail this morning! I worked in the cinema industry from 1990 to 2005 and have hundreds of movie posters, the only aviation one i can think of off the top of my head is Memphis Belle but there is probably more. Some older non aviation posters I have include Bridge on the River Kwai, The Longest Day, A Bridge Too Far, Bridge at Remagan, The Eagle Has Landed etc..

But a crowd pleaser – they were v low on the Sunday over the 2 Squadron hangar and crowd.
And fast!
Feather #3 I agree, it was the best airshow I have ever been to, my friend and I think it was well worth the trip up from Melbourne.
CanberraA84-232 I wish I was going but do not have the right history to be included.
Wardie, you put me to shame with your excellent photos.
All the best Paul
A couple more pics.
Well I had a great day at the airshow, probably the best I have ever been to, here are some photos, sorry that they all look grey but the overcast did not help things.

What is the story beind the crash?
Paul
Thanks for the replies, I was just curious.

I have been slowly removing a paint layer by sanding, this is a trial on the fin before I start on the sensitive noseart. It has been very very time consuming, the result looks OK from a few feet away but close up you can see scratches etc.. it is especially difficult around the rivets due to the height difference.
Good Luck, Paul
Here are a few pics from a trip to Poland in 2004, it was a gloomy day so not the best quality. Paul
Hi Merkle
Why are those Su 7’s sitting back on their tails? And where was the photo taken.
PM sent to you as well.
Cheers Paul
Hi Merkle
Here are a few more suggestions for you.
Try to determine if any of the cockpit instruments or fittings are common to other aircraft this will enable you to broaden the search. For example the undercarriage lever looks ‘similar’ to the one in my Su22 as do the toggle switches, perhaps some of the instruments are common to early Migs, Delfins etc. I know the oxygen gauge I am looking for was fitted to Mig 21’s so should be relatively easy to find.
Next time you have some holidays jump in the car and take a road trip to Eastern Europe, visit as many flea markets, surplus dealers, museums and private collections as you can – I am sure you will gain something even if it is just detailed photos or measurements and you may even get inside one.
Lastly try trawling ebay.de and ebay.pl as often items are listed there but do not appear on ebay.co.uk such as this little beauty,
All the best
Paul
I am also on the lookout for a HUD controller from a GR1 Jag, if anyone sees one can you please take down the sellers details and PM me.
Thanks Paul
