Bumping this up again, I imagine that Lightnings, Hunters, Harriers, Buccs etc would all have similar fuses so maybe someone with connections to one of these can help.

What about something to do with the Allied missions to support the Warsaw Uprising? I see plenty of scope for action on the ground as well as in the air.

Were there any procedures in place that once an aircraft had dropped its bombs and was returning to base that a check was carried out in the bomb bay to determine that all bombs had in fact left the aircraft? I do not know much about bomber design but surely even a glass peep hole into the bomb bay would give the crew the knowledge that all was OK, and if there was still a bomb there they could take appropriate action such as trying to free it or even abandoning the aircraft over friendly territory.
Just my thoughts Paul
If you want something different, paint her up as an RAAF one.

If you really dislike them that much then you could give one to me and you wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore.

Spiterfireman,
Any chance of you telling us about your chase with the Shack, sounds like it could be an interesting story.

This may not be much use to you but worth thinking about. Until very recently I owned a car that had symptoms very much like you describe, the fault was that the screws that held the top part of the carburettor in place worked themselves loose every now and then allowing air to enter forming a super lean fuel mixture. The first time it occurred it took a long time to find.

You will find the answer to your question in post #9 of this thread.

You are one lucky guy having access to all of those aircraft.

I notice that most cockpits have an information board displayed nearby, what is the ‘standard’ information people put on these? Service history, photos, specifications, weapons – anything else?
Paul
Same as Newforest and plough, it was most certainly Biggles.

Well I won’t be there but Jaguar parts can be passed on to 12jaguar or XM692 for me, that is unless they like the parts themselves. Mainly after bungees, HUD controller, TACAN, LOX gauge and nav hand controller, oh and also an early weapons aiming mode panel.

One of my friends has been to the V3 gun site below, he thoroughly recommended it and its not on the main tourist list, scene of some very heavy bombing raids if you’re after an aviation link.
