Hi Mr Boyle
Thanks for the heads up, I’ll be in that area next year and will make a point of calling in now.
Cheers Paul
Yes, hopefully you’ll get 1 Al, I suggested to Graham that it could be a good PR event for his company. I had to keep it under my hat until it arrived as I was really worried that it could be seized by customs or something, what with it being a powerful laser and part of a weapon system. For everyone else it had significant internal components removed at the factory so that it can’t be powered up and I also took Als’ advice and didn’t connect it electrically to be double safe.
I’m pretty happy with the whole deal, never thought I would get one of them. Have to admit it was not easy getting it mounted though, heavy and fiddly at the same time.
Cheers Paul
Thanks mushbuster, that’s a very good article, I can add another photo to my list now. It appears that Col Schulz was the pilot who flew the B52 ‘Ghost Rider’ out of the boneyard recently as well.
Cheers Paul
WV-903
That’s a great photo.
Plus accommodation and food, not to mention specialist tools etc…
Try here, lots of Canberra info and photos.
Hi Al, no. I am still on the hunt for a GR1 hand controller and a pair of bungees as well as a few other things.
Paul
Hi Al, yes I got one from a friend in the UK. I have the GR3 mount as a spare if anyone ever needs one. It’s always the way that you buy something at great expense then find 10 really cheap ones soon after.
Paul
Hi Al, just made a small contribution, I couldn’t do more as I’m about to pay for shipping for something quite exciting for my Jag, will send you pics when it arrives.
Paul
Have a great time on your tour, I enjoyed bumping into you at the ANAM last weekend, may see you at Temora.
Cheers Paul
Hi Ewan
Great link, took me a while to read it all! I notice you have 50 reels of motion picture film, if you ever want to watch some of it I have both 16mm and 35mm film projectors available.
Paul
Well done Ewan,
I managed to get a few items for my Lincoln project. Lanc35 it was a private collector downsizing.
Paul
Thanks Terry,
I’ve tried soap and water but they seem faded/grey after about 40 years in the sun, it doesn’t show so well on the photo unfortunately, I’d like them to look shiny and black again.
Paul
Hi Smirky
You’ve already got 1 instrument, only 40 odd pieces to go!
Does anybody have recommendations on how to rejuvenate black plastic backlit panels? I have a few to do similar to the one pictured and am trying to achieve ‘as new’ look.
Thanks Paul
That’s good to know you’re thinking ahead, I see there are some simple saliva tests available online but in the worst case scenario a simple collection of finger nail and hair samples would be better than nothing.
