It seems too nice to go to the scrapman, is there much chance for it surviving?
This confuses me, it says what you see in the pictures is what you get but it also says you get 1 used rivet!
I’ve been working on an Aussie Lincoln panel, I’ve been astounded by the amount of help people from all over the world that don’t even know me have given. In a way I’ve just been the collector of information and checker of other peoples work! There’s still a fair bit of drilling and filing to do.

This Mk2 sight here in Oz looks interesting
Without doing a search I’m fairly certain this has been covered here before and that a member of this forum was actually there!

Hi Steve

Hi D McGee
I thank you for taking the effort to scan your photo, join the forum and post it up for me. The reason I wanted the photo is that I have a small part from the aircraft and wanted a pic to go with it, you’ve given me exactly what I was after.
Regards Paul
I suspect they are from a Lincoln and am leaning towards something from a turret or maybe even undercarriage doors.

I have some parts for a Mk IX autopilot, not sure how similar they are but can take measurements if it’s of any use to you.

When researching my book on the subject, I was refused access to the RAF Museum’s Supermarine Seagull V specifically for that reason, and limited to 15 minutes inside the Supermarine Stranraer. The Stranny had its instrument panel ‘lifted’ sometime before the museum acquired it, so (then) over 30 years without anything to originate Geiger clicks…

One has to wonder what is the point of having something preserved for ‘future generations’ if you can’t actually see it?

Hi Mike
I am not sure if you received it but I sent you a PM. Hopefully you can assist a project here in Australia although it sounds like you’ve got your hands busy at the moment.
