This is the main gun for the seat not the drogue gun which is attached to the head box. The four circular areas you can see are where the secondary cartridges are fitted. These are sympathetically fired by the hot gases from the primary cartridge as the gun fires. Inside is a telescopic staged tube which extends to propel the seat up the rail and thereby ejection. Ensure that there are no cartridges fitted by removing the circular caps. You need a special peg spanner to do this. If you get the part number from the gun we should be able to identify which seat it is for.
Thanks for replys chaps, Only after the 230s, I have an abundence of Swiss 150 and 100 gallon tanks. I would consider any condition within reason with which we could completely refurbish and overhaul back to flight carriage condition.

Hi – You are welcome to collect some cart cannisters and some dead carts if you wish from HHA at Scampton. PM me and we can arrange if you wish.

In my previous life as an instructor trainer at the Instructional Flight at cranwell I have spent many hours taxying these Jaguars during the EngO scenario based training exercise The seats are disarmed and there is no bar across the throttle quadrant. Reheat and PTR are disabled.
Will look at posting a HHA update but you must understand that much of our operation is commercially sensitive. probably best to update the website for all to see. http://www.hunterteam.com
Yes we do still have the SU 22 – Being HHA Eng you can always ask me, I am in the room so to speak
Please excuse my ignorance
I would post some pics of the dismantle and load of XS919 if I had any idea how to do it? If i get some understandable instructions I will post.

HHA Engineers from Scampton have prepared and loaded XS919 for road transport today. She left for her new home at approx 1100 on two flat beds.

Your Flickr photo for ZZ190 states that she is former Swiss Mk58 J4058. Just to keep your info up to date, she was J4066, then G-HHAE before gaining military registration
ZZ190. J4058 is now ZZ191 and was also formerly G-HHAD
Dave F68 is correct – all our swiss aircraft have AN-ALE40 Chaff / Flare dispensers fitted in the port and stbd Sabrinas
Fin wasn’t cut, either previuosly or by us today. The fin was unbolted and removed without any cutting.
It was a pleasure to help and you know where we are, if we had known we could have brought a pitot static test set up with us. You know you guys only have to ask and we will help when and where we can. Good to see Nev looking so well and congratulations to you all in getting her to this stage.
Hunter F58
It was a HHA Hunter Mk58 – ZZ191 on a trials support flight out of Yeovilton. Customer was more than happy with the results and the aircraft landed back serviceable.
