Both fuses are in stock with LAS Aerospace, quite picey though. Search for “British “S” Type fuses or aternatively just type in the section ref.

Using this website you can purchase a copy of Pilots Notes, delivered on CD with other manuals. It does cost however

    Correction to my last

Oh My Gawd, whata mistaka to maka.
Carpetbagger, you are so right. Confusion reigns, we were operating both out of Boscombe with the T8 and out of Bournemouth with the Mk58 that week. ZZ190 was on a pilot currency flight and carried out his PFLs. rollers etc at Boscombe Can I be excused please. Didn’t see your reference to ZZ190 and your pics were rather blurred. Thats my excuse anyway.

XF995 is now back at Scampton after succesful completion of its ETPS contract.

    Re Hunter Boscombe

    Carpetbagger

The Hunter you saw was XF995 a T8B owned by Hawker Hunter Aviation which has been on contract to ETPS Boscombe. She returned to Scampton on Thursday the 5th and carried out two more training sorties for HHA pilots IRT and standardisation. XF995 returned a 100% sorties success rate and performed well throughout the contract.

    HHA Hunters

ZZ190 and ZZ191 are employed in military trials work for the MoD. The aircraft are ex Swiss serials J4066 and J4058 these were re-registered to G-HHAE and G-HHAD under HHA civil ownership. The aircraft were re-registered to the military serials in Oct 2006. They are full blown military aircraft and are regulated through the military system.

The two Hunters have performed well under the current contract with 100% of required trial sorties achieved. They are operated in a partnership with FRA and HHA. They have undergone considerable modification to enable the aircraft to satisfy the trial requirements. The aircraft are maintained by HHA engineers and flown by two very experienced pilots from FRA. See HHA website for further details.

    Re Publications

Copying at Hendon is outsourced and can take quite a time to get back. I am not sure about actually photographing pages or even copying yourself on site as I have always ordered via phone or net. They have however always been very good copies and although costly it is a very good service.

    Catalogue of APs

The book you require is the catalogue of APs known as the AP100Z. THis lists all the RAF publications and the equipment, aircraft type etc that the publication refers to. Hendon museum will have a copy but it will cost to get it copied, maybe someone out there might have one.

    Feedback thanks

It was indeed an excellent performance albeit a flat display in less than ideal conditions. I only wish you could have seen the full display as I did during the work up. I think we might have given the FRA Falcons a run for their money for the best display.
(As an aside well done to our colleagues at FRA for winning the award, well deserved).

We have no plans to display at any other venues this season, we are concentrating on satisfying the needs of the military contract work and besides, appearing at an airshow whilst fun to do is always done at a loss due to the measly funds available to airshow organisers.

As for the Buccaneer there is some progress with rocket packs and we should know in the near future the test results from Martin Baker.

Oh and No fitters required at this moment in time.

Work is progressing slowly due to commitments which actually have a fiscal benefit, obviously these must take priority. Will inform as and when there is something to tell.
