Static only I.m afraid though nothing is impossible with the right time and money. This is the one parked up at Scampton. It is fully blanked and protected against the weather though and would make an excellent project for any wannabe restorers and a chance for some enthusiasts to get hold of a real aircraft and return it to its former glory.

    Thank you to all

I’m touched, and hugely surprised, thanks to you all for your birthday wishes. I have been taking a few days off from the Typhoon duties at Con to have a consolidated few days with the engineering team getting the steeds ready for the new season. All is going well and we should be ready for crew training and shakedown trips by mid April. Things are progressing well at Scampton and despite the upheaval and downsizing in hangar space we have now settled into our new premises and are making constant improvements to the place to get it to the standard we want.

    Many Regards

    Mick

    crap speeling

Thanks AIB, sorry didn’t realise that it was all left to you to reply to enquiries on the forum. Has a decision been taken as yet, still seems to be in discussion phase or do I feel that those in the know, know and those that aren’t are puzzled.
I would be glad to come if I can and yes I am sure we could organise a visit to HHA, however as we are situated on an active RAF base there would be security implications and I would probably have to restrict numbers. At our busiest time re maintenance at moment and in no time at all we will be in to the flying season. I will PM you with a possible date in the future, if I can find one.

You ask for new people yet ignore request for details about the forthcoming forum meet, maybe someone was right when they said this was a bit of a clique.

    Forum Meet

The forum meets sound interesting and would be a great way to put faces to the names on the flypast forum. Can you give me any more details of what the forum meets entail, what, when, where, etc. HHA are very proud of our organisation and would be only too happy to inform others of our latest goings on and what its like to be involved in the operation and maintenenace of classic jets.

    Feed me with info please

G-HHAC carried out the memorial flypast in memory of Mark Hannah, and returned on time to Scampton at 1225.

Regretably I never met Mark but it is obvious through the stories and respect illustrated on this forum and through contacts I have made whilst being involved with the HHA operation that he was undoubtedly an aviation icon with great ability and skill, who also had a persoanality and charisma which endeared him to all.

Timing now a little more accurate – we are looking at a 1145 take off (weather permitting) for the memorial flypast and back to base at Scampton at approx 1245

Easy Tiger – Apologise for being vague – The Bucc is classified as complex.
Black Night – Wrt the answer I gave Stringbag – HHA will not be displaying at Yeovilton and I have no idea if Miss Demeanour is attending Yeovilton as static or otherwise.

DGH – I will endeavour to post something the day before departure from Cambridge as requested.
Stringbag – Negative to both of those, HHA has finished its display season. We have certainly enjoyed the season and wouild like to thank all for the support we have been given during the year. Time for the winter maintenance.

G-HHAC Did depart and return as planned apart from a weather hold on Friday. The aircraft is still at Cambridge as planned . We may have another tasking for HHAC, hence it will stay at Cambs until we plan to bring it back. If you want to know anything please ask, either through the forum or through a personal email, as it avoids speculation and rumour, I will always reply to any enquiry. The aircraft is serviceable and apparantly delivered two very good displays at Leuchars, despite the weather being less than great.

G-HHAA – Stop speculating – I will post a progress report on Bucc in near future, enough to say things are progressing.

G-HHAC – Didn’t appear at Dx on Sat due to an admin/booking error/, between HHA and DX. It was based at cambridge for the w/end to appear at the Goodwood revival. It will be departing from Cambridge tomorrow for Leuchars to display at the Bof B airshow.
