Health and Safety people would have a heart attack!

So now she is officially US registered.
Is the listed owner not a familiar name??
You would still have to prove that the aircraft is safe for that ferry flight. If they do want to fly it somewhere then I too would guess at a registration somewhere from deep, dark Africa. Time will tell 😉
Well N447FT is reserved for her so they will try to get her out on a FAA ferry permit imo.
Imo it should be possibly to get a ferry permit with the FAA. Many a/c were granted to do so after a long time of storage.
New rumour is that she wil be flown to Texas….. Any thruth in that?
Just painted today. WTD61 F-4F also in special colours for this sad event.

Hi Folks,
Where is the best place at Bournemouth to see this aircraft ?
Drive to the European Av hangars. She is not to miss.
Last week when visiting Coventry a engineer from Atlantic told me that Buffalo is interested in G-LOFB. Only it would cost around 1 million pound to get her airworthy again…..
Hi Adrian;
The result of a lost youth spending too many hours browsing Roger Freeman’s “Airfields of the Eighth Then and Now” when I should have been chasing girls!
Edit: Fencher24: Nice photo by the way! I can’t help wondering how many decades, or even centuries into the future that these old airfields will still remain visible on the landscape from the air. My feeling is it will be a very long time. Even those that have completely disappeared still leave a ghostly shadow in the crops.
Regards;
Steve
Many thnx for the quick reply!.
Indeed I am always impressed by the many former wartime fields in the UK when I overfly them.
I heard the saying that the Americans thought that the UK was the biggist aircraft carrier in the world during WWII 😛
Thnx for the reply’s.
So I understand she is still present but it’s not possibly to take a picture?
Kind rgds.
Nothig new to this. What to think about the three ex UA 744’s flying with Mahan Air. They were imported through the UK and Armenia into Iran….
Iran Air has an ex Martinair 747F in their fleet imported through Turkey.
And try to look up Asian Express Airline, they have one A320 (Allready in Iran) and some BAe-146’s in the same colours painted an Qeshm Airlines so no hard guess where those will end up….. Ex BA btw 😉
Since there is a lonesome “fake” Ju52 sitting around in Duxford why don’t they use that instead of a Spanish He111 with Merlin engines. The French Ju52 definately looks more authentic than the Merlin powered He 111.
It sure does look “WW2 Luftwaffe” even if its not a real bomber!
How many of the modern day visitors would actually pick the Ju52 over the He111 as a “WW2 Luftwaffe a/c?
We’ll because Rotterdam was bombev by He-111’s…. A Ju-52 is available at the Aviodrome.
Hopefully there is a chance top get an 111 available. Would be very nice to see one in Rotterdam 🙂
Should be C-FIJX now and is on overhaul at Red Deer.
