However, on any thread started regarding an aircrafts demise, a series of wildly speculating posts would follow. with the inevitable intervention from a moderator….. (those were the days…not)
The original sign from Bentley Priory as seen in my profile; yes amazingly it’s still there!
No longer at the end of the East/West runway!
I think UKAR has it’s place, and I visit the Duxford diary weekly (although this time of year it’s a bit quiet) but the request for a historic forum has fallen on deaf ears, and it too suffers from heavy handed moderation.
I remain quietly confident that Key will eventually bring the forum up to a usable standard, and whilst many forum users have left, many will also return, finding the grass decidedly browner elsewhere; it is unique amongst forums, maybe because the vast majority of contributors are British, and we like a bit of waffle in between the facts and the er, fiction. Happy new year!
Emergency U/C blow down bottle given to me by a good friend, and painstakingly (and I mean pain) welded back in one piece this time last year.

Another piccy which also shows a wing section in the background; I thought I’d took more pictures of the wing sections, but apparently not
Many thanks James.
As above all the older pictures (in my thread) are showing as thumbnails, can you help?
Obviously some of these piccys are out of order (no, not in that way) but here’s a couple showing the forming of the bottom longeron
Thanks for your replies guys, and yes I do have a rusty wheelhorse mower in the shed awaiting some winter maintenance!
Here’s one of the ‘ole girl at an event at Rob Davis’ place and a jolly fine do it was as well
