I have said for some years now that VW are trading on past glories.
I am a VW buff (saddo if you like) My mk1 is fully restored and worth about 3-4k not bad for a 29 year old car. But I would not but a new one.
The last decent car VW made was in 1992/3 the last of the mk2’s.
Dont even get me going on Audis and landrovers.

On my 3rd ford now and they have been good.

Very interesting film, those strafing runs are frightening.
I found myself willing the B29’s to stop when they landed with damage.
Its also quite good quality to say its colour.

Nice set of photos, why is the colour change so different on the two photos of the B17 engine, white balance settings?

Just finished reading “Yeadon above the rest” charting the history of Yeadon Airport (now Leeds Bradford Airport) It covers the history from pre ww2 air field through WW2 when it served as a air strip for the Avro factory nearby (Ansons, Lancasters, Yorks) all the way until today. Which is now a busy airport.
But the clues are there if you know where to look.
A very interesting book, even if your not local.

Well thats not on, it won’t be until there are no genuine Spitfire pilots left.
I think they should let him climb in. But then I think they should also let me have ago too!

Well I have no idea what they would go for, but I would fancy one myself.

It would be one step closer to getting a full engine!

(this is my first ever post on this forum! I thank you)
