Take a look on airliners.net for some good pics.
I did a search by selecting hercules as the aircraft type and putting vortices into the search box. Came back with some nice ones.
Here is one of the more stunning ones – Airliners.Net – Hercules vortices

Seen prop vortices a at a lot of airshows this year, particularly from Hercs. Visible to the naked eye and not just on pics.

EAL King… do you work for EAL or are you just a big fan of them?

Letting us know what the update is would help greatly.
EAL 747’s
One of EAL’s 747’s did a trip from Bourneoumth to Edmonton. Then Edmonton To Brize Norton. Then Brize Norton to Bournemouth last week. This was ferrying troops back to the UK.
Of more interest is that one of their 747’s is to fly from Filton to Exeter today. This is big news apparantly as this will be the first time a 747 has landed at Exeter. It’s going here to have a major check over.
It will be departing Filton today (Thursday 14th October) at 2pm and landing at Exeter at 2:50pm
Hope this is of interest.

I believe that there is no official flying display planned for Sunday is there. I heard that it had been cancelled but the airifield will still be open and they will be letting people look around the hangers and what not.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Meet by the Beech! (Big, blue, only thing on Brunters with props 😀 )
Last time I was there the Guppy had props! 😀
Initial reports form AICN suggest that it DOES suck.
And you believe what they write at AICN do you. Man that site is the biggest pile of no good rubbish ever. The Harry Knowles is so far up his own backside so much of the time. I never believe anything that they write on there. They all hate Anderson anyway so it was always going to be negative from them from the start!!! 😡
Rant over!
I can’t believe you are actually comparing the jets that are in Painkiller to the jets used in LOMAC!? Are you being serious. As was stated before, the jets in Painkiller are just static models in a very static world (and small world for that matter!) The aircraft in LOMAC have many moving surfaces and have to be made in such a way that when used in the huge playing areas they do not cause the framerate to die. You go sticking huge polygon counts onto the aircraft then the framerates wil just bottom out… and LOMAC struggles as it is.
Fair enough the aircraft in Painkiller look pretty…. but you can’t compare them to the jets in LOMAC when the ones in Painkiller are purely there for eye candy.
I probably haven’t put my point across as well as I could have!
Not “that” impressive really…. I could only watch half of it before I got bored!
But what was it all for?
