Saab Viggen 37918 at Newark Air Museum

Just to wet your whistle amongst these photo’s of mine at NAM are a couple of the Viggen awaiting rebuild in hangar 2.

Wethersfield is currently the MOD Police training center but for how much longer I wonder? The government is currently centralising all service police training i.e.Royal Military Police,Royal Air Force Police,Royal Navy Regulating Branch, Royal Marines Police to the old Naval base HMS Dryad a few miles north of Portchester,Hampshire (where Eisenhower planned D-Day). The MOD Police are due to join them eventually at what is called Southwick Park. So are we about to see yet another old base fall into complete disrepair and lost forever?

Newark is in the “Midlands” and is the gateway to the north/south. And it contains one of the best museums in the UK. Have a great vist!!

Typical of my “Big Brov ” lying down on the job again!! Now the question is was he lying down taking a photo upwards, or did he fall out taking a shot downwards?
