I surrender.
Everybody knows the Spit wax everything else in the sky!!
Care for a ride though?
“Tomato Heinz to all…”
“Achtung, Spitfeuer!!!”
I never said that the other plane had to be airborne!
:p 😀 😀 😀
Whenever we hook up Rob!!
That’s the spirit Daz!! 😀 😀
Hmmmmmm, Spitfire…….
Yes and there’s this one too :

🙂
Good replies guys!!
The Tora T-6s have the same engine as in the Otter, that gives them 600HP continuous instead of 550 for the original engine.
My best it that low and slow the Spit would win.
Have you seen the picture of the CAF Hornet next to SL721? It’s not wallowing all over the place, it’s just flying neatly alongside with a bit of flaps and the slats out. And I’ve seen it come over the field in a formation with the B-25 that was the photoship.
And a couple of years ago, in the North American Trainer Association magazine, there was a picture of a Hornet in formation with a T-6, that was something…
Yes boom and zoom. You could probably wax the floor with the Spit using a Learjet with this technique.
What I meant was a turning fight, a real one.
Excellent news!!
My dad, and also the fact that I received my air baptism the same day as the real baptism.
And I grew up flying in the Harvard/T-28/T-35/Cessna 185…
Amazing!
After a long tedious work, it’s finally making noise and moving around un-towed!
Can’t wait to see it in formation with a Zeke!
Thanks for sharing Dan!
Curtiss YP-60E since you are being picky! 😉
Ok, the fat radial thingie is the Curtiss something and the French one is the VG33/39.
On the Spanish He 111s, the nacelles are the same as the outboard ones on the Lancaster.
