I missed the Seahawk unfortunately. It would be nice to have it next to our Venom and have them do a simultaneous start 😀
We tried to get down their with the Dak today but the weather beat us in the end. Anyone there today? Did anything fly?
Tom.
Seems to have rotated since I past it late last year.

Clive, November was about the last time the six’s had any regular work. There have only been a handful of flights since then unfortunately.

9th October is the next one. http://www.classicflight.com for more details.

Looking at the aft of the fuselage pod, it doesn’t appear to have the large fairing above the jet pipe common to all Sea Venoms which leads me to believe we are looking at a NF variant. Looking at the layout of the fasteners for the access hatch on the side of the nose, I reckon we have an NF3 there.

To be honest I don’t know. Until she is sat on the apron at Coventry I wouldn’t believe anything you might hear. One thing I have learnt during my time at AA is never try to second guess what they are going to do, it will always be exactly the opposite of what you might expect!

Is that Shack owned by Air Atlantique?
Yes.
Tom.
…which he describes as “some nice cloudscapes that some inconsiderate pillock parked a Pembroke in the way of……..”

Yes it was mentioned on here and WIX that there was interest in it “coming Home ” but I don’t know what happened – HARS might have been interested ?
You can have WK800 only if we can have our F8 back 😀
Tom.
Thats right. Shut down on the runway after arrival and was towed to the parking area. Didn’t find out what was wrong with her though.

I’m sure I read somewhere that during a test flight TSR2 applied reheat to one engine only and the Lighting chase aircraft couldn’t keep up even with full burners!
Can’t imagine the Meteor in the pic below stood much chance either!
