First time I’ve seen a cartridge start in the flesh! Quite impressive it was too:

Its a real shame we didn’t make it up to get some airborne shots but at least the Pembroke has clean windows now
Andrew, WK163 should be on the display circuit next year. The jets don’t usually fly at the open days, the airport don’t like it believe it or not!
Tom.
As seen from the air on our way back from this years G-VFWE. DA was always the better of the 10 fleet whilst I was with MYT. Seems a shame she has ended up this way.
Tom.
The problem I found with the Pembroke’s cabin windows is the engine and exhaust gets in the way.
Probably not all that difficult, although the Venom’s superior performance might take a bit of getting used too.
Tom.
we also have a serious lack of decent Venom pictures
Due to the serious lack of Venom pilots I imagine!
Tom 😉
VERY nice Will!
Just one thing……why was I not told about this…huh? 😉
Tom.
was dragged out to get some air to airs with the Vampire
I’m sure they didn’t have to do any dragging at all 😉
Tom.
😀 Would certainly be interesting! If Will J is reading this maybe he could knock us up a suitably Reno-esque scheme for the old girl 😉
Tom.
We’ve had an engineer and pilot out in Midland for a few weeks now working on Mr McHenry and it has indeed flown. I don’t know what is planned for its future though.
Tom.
I fail to see how DC-3s are justified either
I would have thought the DC3 has as much a right to be at a show entitled flying Legends as any fighter or bomber given their service record, both military and civil.
Tom
Lovely shot of the Annie there!
Tom.
The stripped Dak was N5831B which is living at Liverpool. I don’t know who owns it now but it used to belong to McNeely Charter Service based at Millwaukee.
Tom.
Isn’t the Air Atlantique Anson a trainer?
Navigation trainer yes. No dual controls though so don’t know if that makes any difference.
Tom.
Looks like it could have been much worse. Engine start fires have been the end of many a Rapide. Glad all onboard were ok.
