    Russ,

Thanks for the reply. I guess that is enough evidence in favor of a red stripe!

    Cheers,

    Tom.

I’m not convinced its green either

Look at the photo below. The stripe, to my eyes, appears to be the exact same colour as the lighter checks on the nose band and the stripe on the spinner.

So, I took a sample from both areas, the nose check is on the left, the stripe on the right:

Now I am by no means any sort of expert, but I believe the two colours to be the same!

That red stripe, can anyone confirm it was defiantly red? The more I look at the photos, the more I believe it is the same colour as the lighter checks on the nose, i.e. yellow.

    Cheers,

    Tom.

Now six Rapides…two from Classic Wings, David and Mark Miller’s stunning beauty I presume…what about the others?

G-AGTM and G-AIDL from the Air Atlantique Classic flight.

The Anson and Twin Pin will also be putting in an appearance.

    Hi Albert,

It all seems to have gone very quiet on that front. Its not definite it will fly again, but at the same time it’s not definite it won’t fly again either, if you see what I mean. I would imagine it all depends on how much it will cost to put it back in the air.

‘XC’ left at 2359Z in the end after having a slight tech problem with the cowl flaps.

Well, best laid plans and all that!! G-APSA has gone tech so G-SIXC will now by off to HHN at about 2330z. Sorry if it wakes you up!

    Hi Albert,

Beautiful photos! It was XC, she’s done 4 of these Zwiebrukens in the last 6 days as well as a Liverpool – Hahn night stop last night. G-APSA is off to Hahn at 2000z tonight from CVT so keep your ears open!

Firebird, I’m sure the crews would love it, but maybe not LHR ATC πŸ˜‰

    Cheers,

    Tom.

    Hello everyone,

Our DC6, G-SIXC would have been in the area at the time as she was flying a Cardiff – Zwiebruken cargo charter on Monday and left Cardiff at around 1845 after being delayed due to the cargo showing up late.

    Hope this helps.

    Tom.
