To get back to the original topic. My dear fellow scholars/students, I want to make some comments on the following phrase :

The college does not own us, infact they need us there so they can actually run the sixth form and get paid.

OK, I’m probably the only pr!ck around here, but somebody has to say it.

Maybe this is the reason why they decided to get you guys off the forum. They don’t “need” you there, in fact, you can always quit school and look out for a job (much cheaper!!!), and then you’ll have plenty of time to visit AFM. School is not a prison, it’s a previlige. It’s not up to me to lecture you about the advantages of going to school, but take the opportunities instead of whining about some site you can’t/are not allowed to visit.

Hamburgers are actually a Roman invention, so more than 2000 years old. 😀 Don’t know how they called it back then … but I don’t think they’ve changed the ingredients since then (intestins and other stuff). :p yummie

Interresting fact about apple pie and Cromwell though, something I can say on my next exam 😎 in case I forgot everything else. And I adore apple pie, I don’t care if it’s American, English or continental.

Well, that’s fine. After all this is a general discussion forum. But it was more and more beginning to look like a Snapper vs Flood vs you site, you know what I mean?

Yes, I know how damn hard it is to sit behind a desk and not check the forum once an hour. During my exams, I try to isolate myself from the outside world, however, this forum seems to attract my attention once every hour. I can imagine the same would happen in your class, so try to understand why your teacher banned you from visiting this site. AFM I regarde as a way to fill my free time, but if I would calculate visiting AFM in my course-schedule, than I would still be in the first grade ;)!

I don’t believe internet can change our live, and I don’t think every school schould give unlimited access to the net (or any particular site). If I have to study something, than I always need a good old book. However, the internet (or forums) is a good way to share information with your colleagues on things you’ve just learned, but your main concern should be the books.

And why you call me a prick?! Is it because I happen to say the truth? In your case visiting this site didn’t teach you much indeed …

Maybe you guys ought to pay attention during class instead of posting here! 😀 Anyway, my KULeuven-network even allows me to download MP3’s and stuff.

But seeing the latest Flood/Snapper discussions, I can understand perfectly why they think this forum is another crap website. And, this is not “educational”, getting into the library, reading books, that’s education. Though you might learn a lot here (English! :)) I don’t think you can consider this to be a website your school should give you acces too.

I also want to warn you not to start any petition here, because if your IT-teacher sees this, you might be into more trouble (and school is NOT a democracy :)). Just accept the fact that this is a website you will have to visit at home from now on.

My favourite is “Get off”, from the same CD. Their latest CD (monkey house) is not as good as 13 tales though.
