H i Rlangah, I only one on bomber command I can think of is called Night Flight.
It starred Christopher Plummer and Edward Woodward.

Gentleman, I would ask the *********g idiot who posted the silly comments that Ian has quite rightly draw our attention too, to read a book called
Hidden Horrors
Japanese War Crimes in World War 2
by Yuki Tanaka.
To give you idea of the the book, here are a few of the chapter headings
Sandaken Death marches and the elimination of POWs
Japanese Cannibalism
Massacre of civilians at kavieng
It not a a nice read.
I read the book a year ago, and I still can cannot get my head round the senseless brutality of Japanese in WW2
If they did read the said book , would still hold such views ?

Hi Guys, this was a joker told to me by a Aussie when I was on Norfolk Island ten years ago.
two Aussie are driving round New Zealand, when they come across a kiwi doing amenable thing to a sheep.
The two Aussie are disgusted by what they have seen. so they walk up to the kiwi , tap him on the shoulder and
say ‘ were we come from mate, we shear our sheep’. The kiwi replies ‘ We share our sheep with no one.’
I’ll get me coat…

Hi guys this a true story that happen to one of my neighbors 2 weeks ago.
A elderly family member died across the road, on the the day of the funnel one of my neighbors call Sue (not her real name)
very kindly took a card and some flowers to them. She was asked to enter the house and join them in prayer.
Sue declined as she is not a religious person, but agreed to go in as a mark of respect to the family.
when she entered the sitting room all the furniture was removed and all there was in the room was a big white sheet.
Sue turn and said to the family, ” are you decorating” no came the reply ” we are praying for dearly departed relative”
With that Sue, who did not were to put face with embarrassment, very quickly left.
A truly I’ll get my Coat moment.
I hope Steve would have laughed at this.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Steve. Even though I have never meet Steve, along with the all members of the forum I am totally shocked .
Snapper can you pass on my my heart felt condolences to his Family and Friends.
My thoughts are with them.
One of Steves posts on the GD forum made me really laugh. it was the story about pets and his Step -Daughters Chicken.
When I read this on 6th June 2005 , I fell back in fits of laughter.
Below is what Steve posted in full.
” We have a rather eclectic set of pets in our households.
First, my old dog ‘Cara’, a white alsatian who now lives with my son and my ex. She barks a lot and sings at ice cream vans. Cara, that is, not my ex.
Second, my chipmunk, ‘Hirsty’. Hirsty did have a mate, ‘Waddle’, but he killed her one day and ate half her face off. Evil little sod.
Finally, my step-daughter’s chicken, ‘Daisy’, which is also a killer. It pecked a blackbird to death a few weeks ago. We haven’t told Kayleigh yet, not quite sure how to tell a six year old that her pet chicken is a murdering psychopath…
Next up, I reckon we’ll probably end up with a tank full of piranhas. Which should make bath night interesting.”
I hope by quoting one of Steve post, I have not caused any offense to his family, or his friends on the forum.
I have always enjoyed reading Steve post for there common sense, reason and humor.
One final point if I may I say , Steve and his contribution will be greatly missed on the forum.
And long with Ian , I too will raise a glass to Steve tonight.
Yours
Dave Lawrence
