    Hi Yak 11
Like Firebird I have bought Robert Taylor from Aces High, I to would recommended them.

As you want a print of a Mustang, have a look at Robert Taylor Return to Duxford

Some times you can get some good deals at the major airshows like Duxford where all the big galleries have a stand.

    Stormbird, here is my guess

    Dave

No.1. I think we all know what the plane became, but why was it built in the first place, and for who

Blackburn Skua, the first monoplane fighter/dive bomber with retractable landing gear for the Royal Navy.

No.2. What did this this aircraft type do first in WW2 .

26th September 1939 Skua from 803 Squadron from HMS Ark Royal shot down a Do 18.
The first Lufwaffe aircraft destroyed by Britain

No.3. Same again, what did this aircraft type do first in WW2

Skua from 800 Squadron & 803 Squadron flying from Hatston in the Orkneys,
Sank the Germany Light Cruiser KONGSBERG at Bergan Norway.
First major warship to be sunk by aircraft

Robbo, thanks for you kind remarks mate. It a day that will live long in the memory. From the your comments I take you feel the same way.

Total agree with you mate. Inside I had a job with just my jacket on moving around, god know what it must been like with all the
clothes the crew had to wear. I sat in the rear gunner turret it was tight and I am a Short A**s !!!

When I sat in the rear gunner turret the very same thoughts, about how the hell do get out of turret let alone the plane when on fire.
Thats went through my mind. The bravery of the crews beggars belief.

My 2 mates were on Just Jane when she was towed back in the hanger, and they said with no light it was even worse. They could not see
there hand in front of there face.
I have always had great admiration for the men of Bomber Command, but after going on board the Lancaster that has gone even
    higher now.

AJ, you don’t know the half of it. Tom is a really nice bloke.
We meet another of the tour guilds called ken Everite we all had a laugh about their names
and the both of them told us their is another member of staff called James Brown.

You could not make it up if you tired.

Yes the Hurricane color scheme is nice, but then again BBMF set up is very good.

They know how to treat people.

We hope to have a return visit later in the year.

Well PDS it will be your fault if Hawkinge loses money and has to close.!!! No jokes aside, you raised a very good point. It is up to the individual, now knowing the rules that the owners of Hawkinge have set if they want to visit.

They have the right to set the rules. We who do not agree with the ‘no camera ban’ have the right not to visit. Cannot say fairer than that.

Thanks for the information PDS, I was thinking about going to Hawkinge this year. I will now think twice about going. I don’t see why Hawkinge is banning cameras. Other museums I visited ie Duxford, Elvington don’t have any problems with photography.

If you put aside enthusiast like us, the ban I feel will also put off the the non enthusiast as most families have a camera and like to record there day out. The results is fewer people going to Hawkinge and loss of revenue.
Banning cameras will also results in fewer people returning, again loss of even more much needed revenue.

Rocketeer said it best Battle of Britain Museum in the world, I would like visit Hawkinge and see for myself (No offense intended Rocketeer), but the camera ban is putting me off. Judging from the the replies I am not alone.

    Canon D20

Hi guys, this my first time on the forum. I see some of you are using the Canon 20D, I am think about upgrading from Canon EOS 5
to the 20D. I have read on some camera web sites there are some problems with the firm ware i.e. the 20D just shut down.

So my question is, is it worth waiting until Canon sort out the bugs or have they sort out the problems.
One think I cannot find out is how many high res Pict can you get on say a 2 gig card

I would much appreciate any help and advice you guys cold give me on this one.
