Nicaragua “roundel” used from 1979 – 1990 on the rudder by the Sandinista air force

A red-yellow-blue fuselage roundel was used for a short while, in conjunction with the triangle roundel on the wings. Note also the alternate rudder striping, with a yellow vertical component instead a red one. Waco biplanes also had three stripes, red-white-blue, on their rudders, in conjunction with the triangle wing roundels. See attached profile of a Nicaraguan P-47.
