Nice link and very good pics timwing.
It has always intrigued me to see the Polish flag on the nose of aircraft painted in ‘normal’ and ‘flipped’ versions. Going through the pics one can notice the flag painted with a red square either at the top right or top left.
Anyone can put a reason to this anomaly?
Most likely they didn’t know the proper positioning.

thank you. Strange that the Y-12 doesn’t have a flag or roundel. Well, maybe that’s why I missed it
the need for visual verification is gone. All done electronic now. The markings on the plane just for showing the flag on the ground.
But lucky for us there are many air forces that continu the tradition of painting markings on / below wings and on fuselages.
Anybody a picture of the Seychelles Harbin Y-12?
