Note the cross over the roundel on the fuselage but not over the wing roundel. Was this done in some sort of exercise?

Before 1946 Switserland had no roundel but had the national flag painted up and under the wing and as finflash. (although there were a few exceptions)
Obviously that isn’t the case with Yemen..
On the Mi-24 the cross added was white on this Mi-14 it look like it is black.

Well… it’s not flying. :stupid: Nice picture. But now I’m really curious about the roundel.

Hi Walter,
Do you have any problem with my posting this image over on the LEMB? The reason I ask is that we have a thread on what appears to be the strange application of the fuselage balkenkreuz (cross) on Fw190’s belonging to JG1. If you note, the lower white segments of the cross are missing and this appears to be unique to JG1, so this image will be of interest to our members too
Thanks for sharing it too 🙂

I found this one:

This Viper clearly shows the new Sniper targeting pod of the Royal Netherlands Air Force. The pod is “the glass thing” underneath the aircraft.

even older
And now we will watch GB falling apart. Scotland will be the first to leave GB. NI will be next and join Ireland.
a new F-35 and a new roundel (variation). Low visibility Israel

and a better pic
I have a addition to my post #563:
It seems there was more going on about the Dutch pre WW2 wing roundels especially the 1926 to 1933 periode.

1926 – 1930 : Red to front and clockwise White Blue

This aircraft has even the fuselage roundel with red to the top. An absolute exception to the rules!!

sometimes it is only to see by looking where the white part of the roundel is.

1930 – 1933 : Red to the rear and clockwise White Blue

After 1933 there where more changes
1933 – 1939 the roundel was smaller
1939 – 1940 large orange triangle
1940 – 1942 small orange triangel

another Island in the same war
