Something different. This Hellfire from the Commemorative Air Force was repainted in incorrect colors. But the finflash made me really wonder if they ever did some research.

from 1 Mustang to a Twin Mustang

No, unfortunately, Gerard, I can’t help you.
All I know is that striped roundels were used on aircraft since the Independance (Mig-15 on B/W pictures are stationed on a Libyan airfield, pending their arrivals), but I don’t know for how long.PS : since we are on the Algerian issue, have you note the thin blue circle outside some algerian roundels ??

that is new to me. interesting. Have to look at my pictures.
Thanks Gerard and, yes, those on MiG-15 have also three stripes, with upper (green) and lower (white) ones are larger than middle one (red).
And for info, the Algerian helicopter in my post is labelled as an Alouette II.
Thanks again. With this information I can update the website. Do you know the periode the Algerians used this roundel?
No Gerard, well seen. I had’nt noticed, till now, the difference in bars….but looking in my other pictures, here are two others that show these inversions and slight differences :
I think the one on the helo (Hughes 269??) is the same as on the Beech. it is the three colored one as the one on the MiGs has two colors. (It might be three colors too but with a very narrow red band. )

Thanks Archangelski.
The second Algeria pic is new to me.
btw: did you noticed the difference between the bars on the Beech and the MiGs?
With the Beech the dark part of the bars are on the lower half while the dark part on the MiGs are on the upper half.
No Photoshop there, Gerard! I was there too and saw it with my own two eyes. Impressive camera skill there man O7
I know. Found it on FB. very impressive photo.
