Ireland roundel from 1939 – 1954


Normal is the green part of the roundel facing to the front or when on the wings facing toward the fuselage. Under the wing are the national colors with the orange part on the outside.
On the Hurricane the roundels green part is always on the left side of the roundel, also on the wings. This is more like the post 1954 positioning with the three colored roundel.

the white square was used during WW2 for better visibility of the roundel.
