Worms !!!! Really, I hate them. I always wear gloves while working in the garden. In fact, seeing them already makes the hair on my back go straight and I almost start vomiting. I once asked my girlfriend to remove one for me so I could continue my walk. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I started my practical lessons this friday. Unfortunatelly due an accident on the highway in Eersel (Eindhoven, Holland) I was waiting in a traffic jam rather than driving. ๐Ÿ™ My instructor is a cool old guy who is smoking St Michel all the time.

My brother’s dog is named Armstrong. A black labrador.

Call her Bismarck! ๐Ÿ˜€ Very nice for a German sheppard. Our dog is named Astrid (princess Astrid of Belgium), our former was Gorby and the next one I’ll call Walter.

Could you imagine the French or German Govโ€™t sitting back and watching BMW, VW, Renault or Peugeot going down the pan ????? Mind you the EU has stuck itโ€™s oar in wanting full details of the ยฃ6m loan by the UK Govโ€™t.

Yes I can. But VW, BMW, Daimler-Chrysler are making profits instead of losses. Giving a loan is only a temporary solution, it doesn’t help Rover. That’s how the Belgian gov’t was able to keep Sabena alive artificially for over 50 years! I just don’t think Rover is that popular anymore. Though I find a Rover 75 a lot more stylish than a Mercedes C or a BMW 3-series

What car are you interested in buying after you have passed the final exam.

When I get my drivers license ( horrible colour, pink ) I am going to buy a Volvo S40.

Just read a sad story….18 year old girl picked up her drivers license at the city hall and crashed her car into a tree only minutes later! Dead on impact.

An S-40? How do you pay that as your first car? Shouldn’t you be driving opel cadette? ๐Ÿ˜€

Yeah we are obliged only to take theoretical lessons after failing for the 3rd time. I passed after the first time (with only 3 minor mistakes). It’s indeed very costy, we pay about 1000 euro’s for 20hrs of lessons, final exam not included.

In belgium many people, mostly students only take their drivers license at age of 22-23. Because there’s not much you can do with it here untill you’ve got a job, unlike the US or South Africa, where distances are longer.

Well, he’s only famous in the low lands but I sat next to Luc De Vos (Gorki) on my brothers wedding party. His wife is my bro’s ex-gf :D.

And my prof international relations is also quite famous here in Belgium. Had a nice chat with him.

Last week, in the KUL sports centre, I was pissing and Kim Gevaert, Belgian athlete with European Gold, wandered into the toilets! I was shocked and couldn’t finish my business there. ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I once recieved a price out of the hands of Belgian author Jef Geeraerts.

All national celebrities, but I’m waiting till Bono invites me. :diablo:

Well, luckily the Anglicans have left the Roman Catholic Church centuries ago. Since when are men and horses allowed to marry? ๐Ÿ˜€

But surely it’s possible to be saddened by the death of a person of obvious moral and personal integrity even if one does not agree with their beliefs or philosophy?

Yes but some people actually made a crusade against the pope, calling him medieval, mad, a murderer (because he opposed the use of condoms AS contraceptiva, not to prevent diseases) … so in this case, they ARE hypocrites. I don’t go to church like every week, but I do go there occasionally. If I marry I want that to happen in the church, and if I ever get children, I want them to be baptised. So I consider myself to be a member of the Roman Catholics, yes.

But I can understand many other religions, even non-Christians are sadenned by the loss of John Paul II. They should be, because he tried to make a bridge between the different religions. He accepted the fact that the RCC is not the only institution which can preach christianity, 500 years after Luther.

Maybe not the right topic, but are there any atheists around here? Even as a moral human being the pope had an impact on the world. However, I do think being an atheist would make life a lot tougher!
