Dear FB
that is a model number 313N4B. The 313N4B has other permutations and could have other last three numbers. e.g. -503 and -506. Do you have the part number of the mechanism required?
FYI I work for an American Collins Distributor and they tell me that none show up on the inventory locator service.

PH-MOA crashed on the evening of the 1971 European Cup Final at Wembley. It was carrying Ajax supporters who were having a bit of a party.

All very interesting but it doesn’t look as if there’s any danger of seeing any seaplanes here on this thread called ‘Seaplane Activity At Southend-On-Sea’. So what name would suggest for a thread actually about seaplanes at Sarfend then?
Cheers
‘anything but sea planes at Southend’
‘a distinct lack of seaplanes at Southend’
‘Southend; not much cop for the seaplane enthusiast’
Sorry Sunderland nut, but due to the lack of seaplane activity perhaps you could choose.

Aer Lingus ATL98
Probably Not taken at Southend, maybe Stansted.

17 and 101 are numberplated.
No idea on ORBAT and if I did I would not publish it. Sorry.

Dear All,
35, 37 and 108 were only squadrons current on M/MF at start of 2013.
OCU is current on Type 77.
IAF received 36 MF.
IAF received 2 pattern aircraft M.
HAL made 159 local M.
India had a fly off with the pattern aircraft, one with the R11 and one with the R13. R11 won as it was being produced locally at Koraput for the T77.
In 1998 IAF purchased 130 used R13 engines from Romania to be overhauled and retro fitted to remaining fleet of M/MF.

Very nice shots.

Very unusual to see a BEA Viscount at Southend! It wasn’t part of the 48 diversions on Christmas Eve , 1958 was it by any chance? I seem to rember that there were 19 Viscounts in total, most of which were BEA!
G-AMON was purchased by Flightspares of Hamlet Court Road for spares recovery.

Tradair hangar 2
Those Tradair Vikings are very nice. G-APOO sits on the same spot where this A320 sits, I think. Things have changed a lot.

Southend Airport

The picture of the Hermes outside Hangar 2 is very interesting. I started spotting in 1967 and can never remember seeing that type. Although living on the approach to 06, I probably did see that type flying. That spot is currently occupied by BAE146 G-FLTC in Flightline markings. How I wish it was the Hermes. You can see my office is conveniently placed. In 67 I can remember seeing Channel Vikings on that side of the hangar.

I keep seeing a pick up truck on the TV with a large….rocket pod perched on the back, is this from some sort of aircraft or helicopter?
Edi: the first looks like a UB-16 rocket pod used on Migs and Sukhois, with S-5 Rockets
UB16 = 16 rockets, UB32 = 32 rockets. Top one looks like an UB32. One below looks a different brand, maybe Matra.
