Very impressive work Chox. Nice to see some more of your work here.
Latest issue of Todays Pilot has a front cover/ 9 page feature of the Bucker Bestmann.
Duncan Cubitt’s images are just terrific and some appear to have been taken with WW2 Kodachrome – such was the light on the day.
Dave Unwin, who wrote the feature has just become a father again BTW!
HP
Congratulations to Dave!
Great shots as you say HP, Dunc is a legend!
Nice clean shots -really good stuff. well done!
I must say that I thought the cover image, and that on the supplement were rather nice too! 😀 😀
Yes, the majority of the fleet appeared to be Tommahawks. As you can see from the pictures, we did two sorties, as the ‘instructor’ (present to give local area recon on the first shoot) was not in all the images.
Yes it was the Cessna. It’s not a bad camera ship, as the window swings up out of the way. It was flippin cold however, as it was snowing at one point! A great crowd at the flying school.
Moggy,
There is a connection with Air Atlantique, but I am not sure of the details. The outfit along side the flying school share the same logo as the Coventry outfit as well.
Nice work Daniel. Good shots of RW.
I have taken so many Spitfire shots, including the air-to-air work that can be seen on the airshow photo section of this forum, but this image still remains one of my personal favorites.

Brilliant shots Richard. Love the one above most of all. I really like this Spit -miss her over here, but at least she is happy over there.:)
Out of interest – what was your camera ship for the head-on shots?
Cheers
The story is also in this months Flypast. From the images I have seen (in addition to Mark 12’s), there are significant parts including at least two Kestrals in the mix. A great find, and hopefully we will see a number of them fly given time and money.
thanks Peter – Flypast have also done a very good job with a centre spread of the old girl.
The full set of photos can be found here.
The crew and Pima were fantastic to work with, and I’m very glad that I could give this flight the exposure it deserved.
A quite stunning set of air to airs on that link.
I am sure Roobarb will be along shortly to enlighten you;)
When his computer is fixed!
Just had a look-see.
Danielle Hughes.
Wowsah! 😮 😀
There are some of Danielle on the wing in the thread I have posted on the photo forum. They are all really nice girls, as is the team in general.
love the shot over the water Gavin.
