Actually, it’s libel if I write it down, slander if it’s spoken.
Is the defendant denying the charge? :p
i need to speak to my lawyer! 😮
Just like last Friday! 😀
Ohh Slander! :diablo:
No offence intended here, but you might want to run that through a spell/grammar-checker. Personally, I think independently written emails and letters are the way to go. Copy and pasted efforts are just going to be ignored.
No offence taken (my spelling is very poor!).Copy and paste is an option for those who can’t think what to write. As a well known supermarket may say, “every little helps”. 🙂
Another camera review?
Ha Ha.. No its a proper day off this time. 😀
Please feel free to copy and paste as required!
Dear Tom Wise,
I am writting to request your support in a major issue that is about to affect the UK preservation of flying vintage aircraft. Under new European insurance legislation (see link), there is a significant increase in the amount it will cost to operate vintage aircraft such as the UK’s last flying example of the B-17 bomber, as they are being classified alongside commercial airliners. Having used these historic aircraft to free our so called European friends, they now seem intent on grounding them. This weekend see’s the celebration of VE day at Duxford airshow in Cambridgeshire, and the B-17 has been withdrawn from flying at this event as a direct result of the increased costs. Surely this should not be the case?
I would welcome your support on this issue, as would the many thousands of individuals who attend airshows around the UK. Airshows are not as popular in Europe, as here in the UK, so how can they understand the needs of the UK? An excemption to this European law is required, before its to late.

Darren i will be there about 2PM on friday.
Ok, I’m sure you will spot me. I will be the one with what Robbo has labelled the “large drainpipe” attached to a camera. I will proberbly be down the HFL end depending on weather and landing direction.
Looking at the forecast today, the Sunday is looking the better day, but Saturday is not looking too bad either. Is anyone going to be there Friday? I think I will take the day off and see what turns up.
WOW! you lucky man you!
Darren sort your PM box out 😀
Tis done, didn’t realise it was full.
Lens, or drainpipe? Lovely pics, Darren.
Rob
Blimmin heavy drainpipe, my arm still aches! I think I will need a small trailer for Duxford. 😀
Well thanks Darren,
The problem for me is that the first two were taken with a tiddly little Canon IXUS v3 with a mere 3.2 Mega pixels, long since superseded twice over, with low light and no flash or tripod. I have produced creditable 10×8 prints from the file that I am delighted with and exceed the quality of my 35mm stuff. So apart from mega tele-photo shots, why do I need the Canon 10, 20, 350, 1 or whatever it is ‘D’? 🙂
…and it fits in my shirt top pocket and with 256Mb memory card will take over 200 high res shots with one battery change/charge.
Mark
The simple answer is that most digital cameras will give a good image, especially if it comes from a good brand stable. The shots from the IXUS are great. Im sure, given your level of published photography, I need not tell you that! 🙂
Thanks Nial.
Darren I see that Nikon has missed the boat with the release of the D50 and D70s. Please Nikon upgrade the old D100. Hope to see you next weekend, not sure what day yet though.
Septic
They are both very nice cameras though. The D70S will be out this month but the D50 will be a bit later.
What lovelly clean photographs of a lovelly subject.
Nice to meet you at the show Niall. Great pics.
Good pics Darren, are these from the Canon or Olympus? It was nice to meet you on Sunday.
Mainly from the Olympus and I have to say, that Im impressed by the image quality, but the lens did help!
