These are some of the best airshow images I have seen in a LONG time – well done!
There’s something about the lightning at sunset….

Happy Christmas to the team on 458 and looking forward to next year.
It’s well worth a visit!! π

Excellent feedback Gooney Bid. Carolyn really enjoyed the display on Sunday night as she said the weather was perfect for it. I missed it, as I was at Old Warden.
Have you been letting Steve play with your kit?
Nice photos π
No – he had his own camera, I just did a bit of work on the shot and popped it online for him.:)
Hereβs a few shots from a very wet Duxford yesterday evening.
Today, the Vimy should depart for Ireland around 11am.
She flew late on yesterday, and after I had left for home, so thanks to Steve (who weathered the rain!) for sending me this picture to put on the forum.

I saw it in the Sunday Times and thought it was an ad for the BNP. π
Mark
Not with one of my Pictures Mark 12 !!! π
Here’s a close up of BE505’s rudder (Hangar 11).
Great to see the effects of restoration on the inside too. Thanks for posting those.
When I get a moment, I will upload some video inc the static reheat.
PS Some nice pics. Darren, do you mind if I save a copy of the oic with reheat visible in both engines?
PM me and I will send a copy to you.
A great day as always, and XS458 was stunning as always!

Hi, Darren.
but that’s a whole other can of worms isn’t it?
Regards,
kev35
Indeed it is Kev. Just for info, the grey sky is a traditional Lee grey grad filter. There is some Photoshop to remove some of the tracks, but I left the majority in.
Cheers
Darren
Being honest I think the pictures are ok and nothing more than that. I expect the leaden sky is a result of photoshop manipulation and i think it is too heavy and detracts from the overall effect. I’ve also spent a little time very close to both the Swift and the Comet and as far as I am aware, neither of them is the colour portrayed in Darren’s images. The best of the bunch by far are the third and the last. Of course, this is only my personal opinion but I would like to see the images of the Swift and Comet actually approximating their natural colours.

Thats fair enough Kev, I like them the way they are. Thanks for the feedback though. π
the firestreak’s from 458 have had a re-vamp and now back in their rightfull place dressing this wonderfull aircraft, a few hours of work have gone into a bare metal strip and repaint, she looks the part now,
Very nice Russell. Looking forward to picturing them in place! π
I think he was being whimsical and playful.
ATA, are you actually the photographer perchance, with a ‘new hat’ on ?:diablo:
No – Still here as myself. Hat’s don’t suit me :D:D
Thanks for all the nice feedback on the images guys.
