According to the TFC Blog, the Belle will be flying out from Duxford shortly to overfly Lavenham, Thorpe Abbots, Horham and Framlingham, no doubt a few others will be added to the list as well, well some of them virtually touch each other in this part of the world.
It’s a very pleasant day today, a bit windy but with some of those monumental cloudscapes, Darren will have a field day.
Incidentally, there’s a nice bit of video of LB’s recent trip with Miss Velma on the TFC blog.
Sorry Pete, not there today – got to do some work for a change :D:D
I will however be at Duxford tomorrow.:)
All,
Carolyn is aware as I spoke to her last night.
Lets leave it with her to sort.
I just hope the value is passed on to The Grace Spitfire.
Darren
It is very kind of you all to make the comments you have, and I appreciatte them all. The fact that Liberty Bell is here doing her tour is fantastic, and I am so pleased to be able to show you guys the pictures, as that’s what her crew wanted. The more people who know about Legends the better for the Warbird community in the UK.
The BBC had a film crew on board, so keep your eyes peeled.
And on the ground we had some other friends

Our ‘little friend’ was flown by Steve Hinton

Nice pics Darren, were you wearing a red or yellow reflective jacket, distant dots to me I’m afraid. I’m trying to find the lead to download the video, I should have done this sooner but I had another meeting this afternoon.
Whats the significance of the visit to Biggin, not preparing for an unauthorised trip to Berlin I hope.
Incidentally, have any of the crew been to DX before.
It was nice to see 4 Spits, 2 L-4 Grasshoppers, the Nimrod and a Harvard plus Sally B parked out the front at DX, with the Cat lurking in the background, along with the usual suspects parked around, coupled with the perfect weather, it must be a pretty interesting looking place to land at after all that flying.
I was in yellow today pete 🙂
A busy day on the airfield as you say.
Nobody got any pics of the Duxford arrival yet????
Steve
Here’s some shots from today
Great to see her!

With the help on many others – yes. 🙂
Brilliant news Lee – well done RNHF!
I agree. Let’s hope the Spitfire episode is not in the FL weekend.
It’s not.
A few facts:
Pilots were Carolyn, John and the Major.
You will need to watch the whole series.
It will be a great episode! :D:D
THE GRACE SPITFIRE HAS NOT LEFT DUXFORD!!
Carolyn has moved the maintanence facilities to Bentwaters.
Please read her posting on the ML407 forum carefully.
Thanks
Im in the back seat too for a next april wedding. I did wonder how much TA 805 would cost for a little display but im sure it will cost many thousands. Although not too far from biggin to maidstone.
My best mate had P-51 ‘Susy’ (as she was then) display at his wedding reception. It was the coolest wedding present I have ever seen!
Excuse me if I’ve been totally mislead but didn’t the Vulcan do a flypast at Cambridge on its last test flight?
Yes it did.
One of the best things I think I have ever witnessed!
I was on cadet summer camp at St Athan at the time when the guys in the hangar where we were doing some work experiance invited us outside to see something special – it certainly was! Still remember the wash of air once he had flown through. 😮
