Or when having had your carry on luggage checked and cleared for carry on, you commence boarding the plane to be told that your checked and cleared carry on luggage is too big to carry on…40 eur please or you don’t fly…
No rip off there at all.
Simply put the man running the airline is a cheap charleton. Does anybody need their drive tarmacing? He’s got a bit left over from a job down the road…
As obviously an entrepreneur who knows what he’s taking about, may I ask what sort of business do you run?
I live in Tenerife and use Ryanair to fly back to London on many occasions.
In all my flights i have never really been delayed, if so not more then 15 mins.
Yes they do charge lots for luggage, yes they charge lots for card fees, speedy board etc…BUT when you add all this together it is still 80 percent of the time cheaper than flying with thomas cook, or thomson fly etc.
Nearly All airlines now on the short-mid haul routes charge for bags, fees etc so people should stop complaining.
On the TFS to STN route i have few options, Ryanair,Thomson, and Thomas cook so there is no luxury option with all you have to pay for bags and meals, for me ryanair are the cheapest & have the best leg room.
How refreshing to read a sensible, balanced view of Ryanair, rather than the constant griping that we get by certain members of this Forum.
Well said
I would be interested to know what this comment is based on? I assume that you are a training captain of some sort? Which routes do you fly on THY?
I frequently fly THY and have done so for 30 odd years, I’m not a pilot but just a passenger and haven’t had any problems with this airline.
I am impressed that you have flown THY and lived to tell the tale!
You obviously have very low standards!
Who cares!!
Who cares!!
I’m not too sure what all the fuss is about here, in my part of the world it’s quite common to find children doing the cockpit pre-flight checks on the Boeing jets prior to take off.

Yes but it is a Turkish airline after all whose safety standards are notoriously low!
In answer to your question, I design the things he flies.
Judging by your use of grammar, not to mention foul language, I guess you are somewhere near the bottom of the ladder in the design department!
So the other nationalities on board don’t matter?
Paul
Of course they matter, stop trying to twist my comments!
The aircrft was predominantly full of Americans over American soil. Had it crashed it would have killed many on the ground, again predominantly American.
Why do you think they go for American airliners rather than those of other nationaltities?

Its not for his sake. It’s for ours.
We’re supposed to be better than them, aren’t we?
What upsets me the most is he did his best to try kill as many American people as possible both in the air and possibly on the ground, on Christmas Day of all days! A skin graft operation will no doubt cost a lot of money, paid for by the good American people! Why waste money on him when there are many desperately deserving cases throughout the world.
Would you feel the same way if you had loved ones on board? I think not and at the end of the day his wounds were self-inflicted!

I think it’s called not lowering yourself to the same standards…
So I assume that you feel sorry for the poor chap!
Ther “do-gooding” brigade make me sick!

They are going to give him a skin graft!
What on earth for – anyone would think that he is an innocent victim of the incident!
He should be left to suffer!
