    yes it was a bit steep.. this is norm for this airport as steep ascends and descends are needed for this airport..
    plus photo was cropped from the original so looks nearer so could be a bit misleading..

    That Lufthansa take off looks steep, is that a normal departure or is the photo misleading?

    yes it was a bit steep.. this is norm for this airport as steep ascends and descends are needed for this airport..

    was 1st time and enjoyed it.. was expecting more than 1 biz jet though and was looking forward to the FLYNONSTOP..not realising they went bust Cpl of months before

    brilliant set Rab.. def the best spot for departures. doubt you would get anything like the quality of these from the Viewing area..as said before well worth the walk.. especially to walk of that breakfast..

    excellent photos Rab,

    the REDS from the north side are amazing.. even get to see my old workplace in the background. not spotted at PIK since 1984 and as you say never know what appears ..no doubt if I go then NOTHING will appear.. but def a day trip soon, even just a for few Ryanairs. and pop of home to my dads and some dinner.

    sorry.. I checked the ICELANDAIR website for flights between GLA and KEF, and listed a flight every day, but failed to see the British Airways flight to/from LHR for the non direct flights

    Icelandair is a daily flight to Reykjavík (KEF). in summer anyway

    nice photos RAB.. especially the helicopter and BA together just trying to figure how this took place.. did you not get Robbie Williams..??

    Will be back at work sunday..no photos from Tenerife (TFS) not allowed camera, but away to Manchester (MAN) on Thurs and Heathrow (LHR) for 4 days next weekend..

    was at GLA tues 25th for 30mins on way back from Ayrshire and managed a wee surprise with Baltic 757 departing..will try upload my photos soon

    spoke to your dad and was meant to be there yesterday but things came up and was looking on FR24 and noticed the THOMAS COOK SCANDINAVIA on the screen and went DRAT..
