Can they not get in touch with the rep and arrange them to find a flight home?
Great shots Lance!!!
nice shots there lance was the jet 2 a divert or a actual flight
peter
Diverted in from LBA I think. Caused 2 diversions – 1 Thomas Cook and 1 Air France to Liverpool to re-fuel.
T5, what’s with the cutting off of the tail?
I don’t think he’s done it on purpose. On FS when you zoom in at that angle it cuts things off.

Not being an expert in this ,BUT if the captain was told there was fuel leaking out of the wing he wouldof done something about it ,it must of been OK to leave, when you saw this was the airport fire service there?Iam sure that ATC would not of let him take off with as you put it fuel gushing from the wing.
Has for the checks why should this airline be any differant from say BA or Virgin they all have the same rules to follow and checks to do
Im not expert but I can asure you there was alot of fuel coming out of. ATC wasn’t too sure about it so they called somebody out to check the runway who confirmed there was quite abit on the runway. Planes had to wait for a while before taking off.
I think that is a bit dramatic. Are you formally suggesting that this airline is currently unsafe….?
Maybe I whent abit over the top but there aircraft are having quiet a few problems that are very serious. I know other airlines have them but I don’t think i’ve heard of so many fault’s that have delayed or cancelled a flight
Yer thanks for that…….. 🙁 , a bit over the top,
Sorry, you’ll be fine Jon. But although I hate to say this they need to get rid of there -300’s.
Ah but all aircraft aren’t Mode S yet and SBS uses Mode S?
But it will identify most aircraft and if it doesn’t identify one you can always join one of the Heathrow yahoo groups.
Few months ago when I was at Southside one of TCD’s engine wouldn’t start so it has a 30 minute delay on the ramp. Then a few weeks ago while down the side-walk at the Airport Pub loads of fuel starting gushing out of the wing on takeoff, atc told them but they didn’t return back to MAN. I think they need to start doing regular checks on there -300’s or else it could end up with hundreds of bodies in the Atlantic.
Buy the SBS-1 for £500 🙂
Flightcheck shows a 763 departing on a Friday at 19:15pm.
The flight took off from MAN just over 24hrs delayed 🙁 😡
That’s quite usual if TCD get a long delay… They seem to leave it until 24 hours before doing anything  always wanted to fly on a classic Jumbo, deffinatly wouldn’t risk a holiday to Florida by using TCD. I know flights to Orlando are cheap with TCD but i’d rather pay more to fly Virgin.
Apparently had smoke coming out of the number 3 engine.

Heres another angle
Yeah I saw a few aircraft when it was showing the bombings, did wonder what was doing to happen with them. Glad there out of there! Was there any other airlines there at the time?
It was deffinatly a 777 if the plane was the one shown on BBC.
