    SBS does not pick up most GA, infact it picks up very little! – It’s a great bit of kit though. If you are willing to mount you’re aerial on the roof for a better reception then get the SBS, if not the Radar Box may be abit better. Like Graeme says, theres many add-ons for the SBS and im very happy with my box.

    Im on Flight Simulator atm but tommorow i’ll post some screenshots of the SBS.

    When will passengers listen, keep the seat belt fastened at ALL TIMES? No sympathy for deaf people who know better.

    Completely agree. Although it’s impossible to keep you’re seat belt fastened all the time as you have to go to the toilet and stretch you’re legs.

    Passengers think there safe as soon as they’ve taken off, when it reality it’s probably more dangerous in the air than on the ground. Even if you’re going to sleep, just loosen the belt as much as possible and if you hit CAT or bad turbulence you’re still going to stay in you’re seat.

    wl745,

    A quick look on the net came up with possibly N292UP. I checked ACARS and there seems to have been 2 logged UPS MD-11s – One is in the full livery, and N292UP I couldn’t find a picture, but it explains the bare metal on the bottom which indicates it’s most likely an ex-Delta aircraft. Looking up N292UP brings up;

    01/03/1994 Delta Airlines N811DE
    23/03/2006 UPS N811DE Stored at Roswell 03/2006
    05/10/2006 UPS N292UP

    So most likely you’re bird. But don’t flame me if im wrong 😀

    You have to remember Photo Of The Week is a decision that Chris Kilroy makes, and although some may not think it’s worthy of POTW some people do. Jus like Screeners Choice – It’s a shot that stands out to the screener. If they like it alot it gets screeners choice. I think it’s good that Chris is picking photos over the overall motive than the quality.

    Photo of the week is actually chosen by the owner, Chris Kilroy. ‘Top 2 of Yesterday’ and ‘Top 2 of Week’ are chosen by views.

    Seriously, do you really think the EU would let any Carrier in Europe fly if they thought they were dangerous. Circling the airport isn’t a big deal – Maybe there was a problem and they fixed it, why alert the pax when it’s been fixed. Theres some things that pax don’t need to know.

    As for the bumpy takeoff, just because the wind is calm on the ground doesn’t make it calm in the sky.
