Try a trip in Pontus and you’ll be amazed from what you will see…

    Fantasma,
In your book, Does it say Turks are Greeks? You never fail me “brother”. If you visit Trabzon, do not tell people that you guys are Greek or Pontanians, they will be offended and get angry…If you forget , I am from Turkey Fantasma, I have so many friends from that region and some of them are very strong religous and nationalist people…Creating a Pontanian State in Turkey is kind of returnig to 12th century Byzantane that is long lasting Greek Dream…Your logic says, Greeks were here in 12th century, so they should establish a Greek State in Turkey beauce some Greeks left in the area…The same Greek logic applies in Aegean issues, Cyprus and other Turkish-Greek relations…That’s why I told you, put the history behind and look for the future….Other wise, this was my before, it can not be yours now will not solve problems between Turkey and Greece….

…and then they Turks were a minority in their own state , thus having to emply mostly Greeks in the highest state positions…
Several Sultans had Greek mothers btw…

Did they teach you the etymology of the word Istanbul while you were in high school , btw…?`

Try telling us Turkes’s opinion about the Alevites… We are all ears…

How many are there btw , 25 million…?

Off course Turks were the founders of Ottoman Empire in 12 century and when they enlarged the Empire with capturing everywhere from North Africa to Eastern Europe, Blacksea region to Central Asia, it became clear that they found a way to govern every state they have captured by giving them freedom and local power…Therefore, in the long Ottoman history some non-Turkish people also served to Sultans as their aid(some of them in Harems) or ministers(Vezir) or Generals(Pasha)…We all know that…It was Ottoman policy therefore, it lasted 600+ years in the History…Turks were minority in Africa, Eastern Europe, Some part of the Balkans but Turks mainly lived in Anatolia during the Ottomans Empire…We dont hide our history, we came to Anatolia in 10 century with a hard fought wars and winning them all…You Greeks all you know that…

Your central Asian ‘brothers’ are pretty much desenchanted from Turkish politicians. Can you tell us on any anthropological likeness between those Uygurs and the people that live in Marmaris or Trebizond…?

Uygurs speak original Turkish and live like original Turks, most of them did not converted to Islam either…I personally understand most of their talks…In central Asia, Turkmenistan, Kirgizistan, Kazakistan, Azerbeycan(I understand almost every thing in Azeri Language) all are from Turkish decent…But Stalin made a good policy towards not letting them use their own language and cultures. Turkish politicians were very very unsupportive of outside Turks during cold war…Even now, Turks in central Asia dont get any help from Turkey as well…But they have their own states now, future is very bright for Turkish Nations in Central Asia…Comparing Uygurs livinig in China and people in marmaris, Turkey is like comparing the Earth and the Moon…They both came from the same origin but separated later in the evaluation of history…

The point is to recognize mistakes first before moving on… The Germans did this 50 years ago and see where they are now… The moment when the Turkish Generals will have to return to their barracks and allow a minimum level of Human Rights and Democracy is closer than you think…

    Saygilarimla

Yes, recognize your mistakes made in the past and DO NOT REPEAT them…We have human rights and democracy that more than you think but it is not perfect needs to be adjusted according to changes in the Turkish society…I suggest the same for Greece, long lasting “Turkish Paranoia” makes you blind in how you look at today’s Turkey… and at least recognize your “Turkish” Minority in Greece….

Probably due to the fact that most Turks are islamized Greeks , Alewites, Armenians etc…

Fantasma, you are very funny. Your Turkish history knowledge is below par. Have you graduated from high school? I was not expecting anything better from you as far as concerning Greek education system and their Turkish history teaching. I ,now, understand well why some Greeks have Turkish paranioa…”Islamized Greeks” stepped into Anatolia by defeating Byzantine Empire in 1071 and captured Istanbul from real “Greeks” in 1453….For your information, Alavies are 100% Turks same as Sunni Turks but called Alavi because they belive in little bit of different version of Islam…Today, Turkish language is spoken by 280 million people around the world from central Asia to Turkey…The original Turkish and Turks are still in central asia, Uygurs, now part of China…

Anyway, i know why you are making nonsense statements like that but take it easy it will not worth it, we are friends not enemies as long as we put the history behind us and look for the future…
