What a sad thing to happen, unfortunately it appears to be happening more and more, where people feel that justice won’t be done if the proper channels are gone down. i.e. reporting the crime to the police etc.

What realistic answers do people think of when asked about crime and punishment today. Me personally, I think prison is wrong if all you have done is steal a loaf of bread because you are that skint, but then I think life should mean life i.e. you come out of prison in a box if that is the sentence handed down to you, because you have committed a serious crime such as murder, rape etc. Don’t think capital punishment is the answer because if you execute an innocent person then you can’t bring them back to life….Am looking forward to hearing peoples thoughts on this matter.

Ah I think that’s what they call justice, although the sentence was rather lenient I feel. Great use for a web cam.

    Heah well done John.

The pub shouldn’t be too bad if your friends know that you are trying to give up……and are being supportive.

All the best to people going through nicotine withdrawal. 😀

I know Trumper, she’s a beautiful plane and she will definately be missed. Haven’t they got enough B-25’s stateside? (nothing personal towards our American friends on this forum) I guess there is still the D of B’s B-25 but well Grumpy was one of my favourites….

Well they’ll look after her I’m sure….Who knows maybe she could return back here one day?

I gave up smoking a couple of years ago. It was the best thing I did but it’s easier to give up if it’s your choice to.

I have had the odd desire for a ciggie but when I have gone out to the smoking area I have soon come back inside again. It’s surprising how quickly as an ex-smoker you then start to notice the smell of smoke on your clothes/hair etc.

For any of you that are trying to give up I wish you all the best of luck.

Well done Julie and Steve, sounds like a great idea to save the money for your wedding fund.

    Best wishes,

There is not much young blood coming in to this business.

I think it is actually quite frustrating for young people today to have an interest, be told what the rules and regulations are and then see adults doing what they (the kids) have just been told not to do. Whilst at a museum we explained to my neice that it was not a good idea to touch the aircraft…so she didn’t but she saw an adult holding onto and touching the wing in several different places. She was polite and said to the person concerned ‘Have you noticed the sign asking people not to touch the aircraft?’. The person then told her off, complained about the youth of today and what a cheek she had got talking to him as he was an adult! My neice then asked me why there were rules for kids and rules for adults.

Sorry that this has turned into a rant but it annoyed me, as she shows the owners/mechanics and Veterans etc the uttmost respect when she has been fortunate enough to meet them.

Maybe we could arrange for a few younger people to help with the cleaning /polishing of aircraft (like the one at The Shuttleworth Collection that some of the forum members were involved in). The young people could learn a bit about history and at the same time be given a supervised close look at the some of various aircraft.
