As with any kind of accident there are exceptions to the rules, I remember nursing a guy who recieved life threatening injuries after someone hit the rear of his milk float.

Whether you drive or ride on 4 wheels or two you surely have a duty not only to yourself but other road users to drive in a safe manner. The speed limit is 70 for a reason…and should be achieved if the road conditions allow. I have lost count of the times I have driven home in torrential rain, slowed my speed down to suit the conditions only to be overtaken by someone doing well over the 70mph speed limit….oh and they are on their mobile or doing their make up!….then seeing them aquaplane…I have seen many RTA’s and helped nurse the victims and dealt with families grief – it’s not easy and it doesn’t help when people say that they deserved it because they were a motor cyclist…Remember motor cyclists take their test as well so give them a break! (I know some drive fast, but there again I have seen motorists that have tried pushing their vehicles to the limit too, with devastating results)

Speed can kill and it does all too often, but other circumstances do come into the equation.

Sorry this has turned into a long post – it’s a subject I am really interested in, and learning about other peoples opinions etc.

Glad you’re back. Still waiting to hear about my resubmissions (4 months wait just isn’t long enough to make us students suffer eh?!). Started back at college today – heavy workload increase but should be interesting.

What really ticks me off? People phoning me and hanging up every 2 to 3 minutes….I am studying like crazy..my concentration levels keep going and I can’t disconnect the phone as have a sick relative! 😡 Haven’t people got better things to do with their time? urghhhhh!

Heah Ashley I know the feeling as regards the 38D thing but try being allergic to elastic – that really adds a bit of fun to the equation! 😀

Anyways I’ll spare the blushes!

Things that irk me….ummm

1) Things I cannot change no matter how much I want to (eg today someone died in my arms from no more than a broken nose)
2) People that drive at 40mph on the motorway
3) People who devise the National Curriculum – 8 years learning about the Romans is a little excessive, by the time you are 13years old! (as experienced by my neice and nephew)
4) People who have no sense of humour what so ever.
5) Men who assume that as I am female that I must watch BB or other celebrity programs and can’t possibly understand anything about their (and my) hobby – male dominated aviation (yes I know that this is GD and not anything to do with planes but they are one of my hobbies so please don’t shot me down for it!) 😀
