She looks lovely can not wait to see her fly.
You mean like this?
Looks like C-FLOX just lobbed into Luton. The A320 just flew over DX following the Boeing in.
They are Thomson/Skyservice machines returning from the Winter season in Canada. Been stuck in Iceland since the weekend. Ferry flights only, no passengers.
Lufthansa 460, an A340, is overhead London now at 32,000 feet…
Dowding must be spinning in his grave!
Some flying has resumed in mainland Europe – from the only live radar site that isn’t hopelessly oversubscribed at the moment –
Well, I like your updates. A6-GDP was pretty well known around Stansted, sometimes it was in every week.
Interestingly and on a slight tangent, there was a bit in the paper a couple of weeks back about an Indian (I think….?) airline captain who was having a lean spell so he bought a 747 and had it scrapped in Bangladesh, where labour is cheap. He then made enough selling on the parts to not only get himself financially stable again, but paid for a flash new car as well!
Brian Matthew’s SOTS did a special on him on Radio 2 Saturday morning. I had a little bop around the kitchen; what a fantastic talent, stolen from us too young like so many. He lives on forever through the music.

I think as it’s all within the EU it counts as ‘Free Circulation’ so it should be quite easy. Certainly no import licence is required, I have asked that question of the BERR in the past. You should be able to get a freight agency to do the import paperwork for you.
Just as well you weren’t in an Indian hotel room 😀
By coincidence I was down there on the same day, clearing the garden at my daughter’s house. If you go to the council tip in Hounslow they are right over your head at a couple of hundred feet on a 27L approach 😎
MBA2? Didn’t come from Marshalls by any chance did it? If so, I remember that old beast very well!
The P-40 does as well; can’t remember exactly by how much as I am not by the manuals at the moment but we were asked the question recently by an aero modelling group.
That’s one cool idea Frank; a suggestion – how about also adding Wrecks and Relics around the airfields? For instance, the Mirages at Creil which are on the far side of the airfield and you really have to know the route to find them.
Happy hunting!

The only 777 hull loss to date has been caused by RR engines…..
Where on earth did you get that from????
It was PV202/G-CCCA, coming back from Northolt.
Is it me, or does that P-51 look like it has blue camouflage……..?
😀
