Hurry up and agree, you lot -I need to order 14,750 tinlets of Humbrol for PK624 and we want to make sure we get the right colour….:p
Did the Syrians use Sky Type S? :confused:
AF1 and the accompanying E-4B are currently letting down over the Midlands.
Aaahhh, the Queen of the Skies 😎 it paid my mortgage for seven years!!
A fine British aircraft; excluding the engines, APU, avionics, wing box, etc etc etc :p

780-002 is the stuff we use, £4.60 a can at the moment. Just be aware if you do buy some that the Edel paints can be a bit tricky and the nozzles get clogged very easily. Shake really well (AT LEAST two minutes) and keep some thin wire handy.
Just thinking of the mods….:cool:
When I started at Marshall’s back in the 70’s there was a Vampire T.11 in open store which had been acquired for the Mystery Jet project. IIRC the guy behind it scarpered with the investor’s money. (Allegedly)
Like they say; “There’s no such thing as bad publicty”

Loads of bug smashers and a King Air……here we are making some noise 😎
Just out of interest, has the wreck been disposed of yet? Last I heard it was outside BA Engineering with the tail off but that was a while ago. I’m guessing that the cockpit will at least be saved as it could be of use, as a ground aid, perhaps.
Those roundels can’t be right…..:rolleyes:
Great shot DC, and thanks for posting.
I’m surprised this thread hasn’t been locked and deleted yet…….:rolleyes:
Just as well they didn’t see this one;

A bit of a complex issue with the interface between operator, CAMO and maintenance provider.
Father had Oscar Brand’s “The Wild Blue Yonder” LP which featured all of the USAAC and USAF favourites. I must have worn it out playing it endlessly. It’s available in a four CD set.
Surprised no-one’s found “Wir Fliegen Gegen England” yet….;)
Melun-Villaroche, August 2007…..:cool:
