Tony did well to capture it, the weather’s been proper foul today! It was a short flight with a few approaches, then back to the shed. I guess a full test flight is to follow.
I don’t agree with it for the reasons already stated by others, viz;
Doesn’t deter
Faulty evidence could lead to a miscarriage of justice. Even 0.00001% isn’t acceptable)
Cost (Appeals, etc.)
Also, in the case of serial killers, you could only execute them once…does that mean the partial death penalty to be applied???
Despite prison overcrowding, my own belief is that convicted murderers be incarcerated for life, meaning life in certain cases. There really isn’t a better way. Build a prison on an island, like Alcatraz, for the unrepentant ones, keep them there and psychologists can study them throughout their lives to see if we can unravel the mysteries of the killer’s minds a bit more, for the benefit of future generations.

A Navajo that I used to look after had a nose gear problem, and the pilot elected to land with the gear fully retracted on the hard runway. We were puzzled until he explained to us the same reasons; risk of flipping over, less damage in the long run, etc. We had to re-skin the belly and have new prop blades, but the aircraft was back in service within a few months.
A Wyvern!!
This one will go a lot higher…..
It’s only thought to be that aircraft, there is no hard evidence;

Seems to have been accepted though…:rolleyes:
Stunning location too! There ought to be a law against enjoying yourself that much…..
…..oh yes, I just remembered that there is one, in the United Kingdom anyway.
I remember the old girl at Booker just before she moved away in 1974, always did have a soft spot for Seafires. Cheers for the link, Peter.
My pleasure….:D
RAF motor gliders going back to Henlow?
Hmm. Is it any wonder I only tell people I’m a spotter on a need to know basis, 😮
Well, we all know now…….:p
How many of us have been there, bored wife/girlfriend in car….’are we going yet?’
Quite why that vacuous pair feel the need to make fun of anyone is quite beyond me….didn’t they show live @rse-waxing a couple of weeks ago…??
Actually, I’m surprised that the police allowed the film to be admissible…after all, it could have been edited. Suppose I gave someone the bird after cutting them up, which then caused an altercation, but didn’t include that part in the film clip?
Just my $0.02……

Apparently the MiGs have been up for sale since 2002….strange that no deal has ever been done, the Albanians could sure do with the cash.
Stuff in the papers today as well, the Mirror had a pic of Neil McCarthy with his Vampire project.
