Basically, if they think you could start a war with one, it ain’t getting out of the USA. Counts for Soviet Bloc types already there as well.
Even getting military aircraft parts out of the USA is fraught with pitfalls, and some companies over there who have DoD contracts won’t risk them by exporting aircraft parts, even to the UK.

I think it should be added that, moratoriums (ia???) aside, any attempt to export a jet combat aircraft outside of the USA will be instantly vetoed by the Department of Homeland Security.
So no point in dreaming.
