    RE: Ryanair Lufthansa

I think many people will find the big carriers low-cost off-shoots insincere I mean lets face it, if Ryanair & Easyjet hadn’t come along do you think LH would be interested in offering better-value fares would Buzz have come along ?? I dont think so !

    RE: KLM

I flew KLM at Christmas MAn-AMS-JNB and on the way out I was lucky enough tobe up-graded to business class AMS-JNB and it was fab. Not so lucky on the way home, and you do notice the difference once you have experienced the space and peace available in business class. I must admit I think KLM Uks F100 are horrible, but KLM Cityhopper F70s were much more bright and pleasant also food better than KLM uk

    RE: Manx Airlines

I wonder weather Emerald Airways may re-enter the passenger scene again. A few years back they operated quite a high-freqency service LPL-IOM. They gave up in the end because of pressure from Manx, but I wonder now how strong the new operation by BA for the IOM will be ?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-03-02 AT 07:40 PM (GMT)]oh sorry don’t know why you did’nt. Just wondered if knew BD was not operating LPL-Jer this summer. Personally I think the route is very under-served and we do not have a GCI service at all. I don’t think these days BD know what they want tobe anyway ?? I remember when they linked JEr with LTN and Coventry with Heralds and Viscounts years ago !

    RE: Embraer 145

I flew on a Ba regional one once on a special trip around the north of England. I quite liked it, flet and looked a bit like a private jet. I also like planes which are not too large as you can get off quicker !!

I dont know about their 146 as yet. We used to see it a LPl quite often particularly at weekend for extra capacity. Must have been one of the shortest routings FOR A 146 LPL-IOM ? I wouldnt be surprised if the aircraft disappeared, I understand their engineering at IOM will go.

Thanks good, we have 3 daily LPL-DUB although sometimes the times can be strange. I guess they may look more carefully in the future as they intend to put more routes out of here. How is Aer Lingus doing against FR out of LBA. When EI used to fly LPL-DUB they used to use a 360 mornings and evening and a 737 combi at mid-day.

Im also not mad on 737s but I flew over to Belfast last year with Easyjet and it was a “700” and found it quite nice. Been on an “800” once with Sabre (now no-more) and that was nice as well, this is the aircraft Ryanair is phasing in I beleive
