Go to German aircraft, messerschmitt, bf 108 and there you go.
Just heard a mighty V-12 fly over my house, looked out my window and saw a Spitfire. Looked like one of the BBMF Mk.XIXs circled over one of my local parks then flew off towards RAF Northolt and looks like it carried out a display (could only see it when it flew higher than the rooftops). Then it came round again in landing configuration, so I think it landed too.
Also as I posted this a 146 and 125 from the Queens flight just flew by in formation.
Does anybody know what is going on at Northolt tonight?
The FW-190 is Tom Blairs.
In relation to the the firefly’s there were two but one is now in Holland, it was exchanged for a Spitfire.
I thought it was white/yellow/blue as victor45 says. The picture does not show the dark colour very well and also when I trained with KLMuk through my Uni course one of the instructors used to do computerised profiles of airliners and he had done a f-27 in Air Anglia colours and I’m sure it was blue and not brown, but I might be mistaken.
They were merged with British Island Airways into AirUK, now KLMuk.
Found the list below on Wikipedia
Air Anglia operated the following aircraft types at one point or another during its ten-year existence:
Britten-Norman BN-2A “Islander”
Cessna 404
Douglas DC-3 “Dakota”
Fokker F-27 “Friendship” 100/200 series
Fokker F-28 “Fellowship” 1000/4000 series
Piper PA-23 “Aztec”
Piper PA-31 “Navajo Chieftain”
Piper “Twin Comanche”.
I think 60 years is a reasonable age for an airforce. Does anybody know which is the worlds oldest? I think it might be Romania for some reason?
This is from the RAF section on Wikipedia
Whilst the British were not the first to make use of heavier-than-air military aircraft, the RAF is world’s oldest air force independent of army or naval control. It was founded on 1 April 1918, during the First World War, by the amalgamation of the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Naval Air Service.
If you look on Wikipedia under air force it does say the the Finnish Air force was established on March 1 1918 but has a dubious/discuss tag next to it.
Below is what was taken from the discussion
World’s First Independent Air Force?
At present we have “The first independent air force in the world, however, is The Finnish Air Force, founded on 6 March 1918.” Although the information is cited, can this really be correct as its first commander (Carl Seber) held the rank of Army Captain and the Finnish Air Force recieved its first aeroplane as a donation at some stage in 1918? Compare this with the newly established RAF which had over 20,000 aircraft on its establishment, a separate government ministry (the Air Ministry) and a Chief of the Air Staff (Hugh Trenchard) who held the rank of Major General in 1918.Greenshed 00:23, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Here are some references which support the RAF first claim:

Even in Finland the Finnish Air Force is said to be the second independent Air Force in the World, after the Raf. 62.183.251.50 06:33, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
If Finland’s air force home page says it’s 6 march 1918 then it very likely is. It may sound “dubious” because fi was/is such a small low profile country but the source seems reputable. 83.102.66.104 16:41, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
It is indeed a stunning looking aircraft.
Can someone enlighten me on the paint scheme. I see there are Canadian markings underside, RN topside, and something else on the rear fuselage – just curious?
I believe that the colour scheme represents all the nations that used the Sea Fury. The markings are RN, Canadian, Dutch and Australian, I think.
Forgive the question but what was a Warwick? Everything else on LL’s list Ive heard of but that one. TIA, Bex

Just a teaser of my collection. These are all variants of Optimus Prime through out the years, including a couple of Ultra Magnus variations.
Will try and sort some more pics out of the aircraft transformers I have got at the weekend as this is a aircraft forum.
Anybody owned the big boys Fortress Maximus & Scorponok? Or even Metroplex?
The only ones I clearly remember from the ones I had are Sixshot and Shockwave. Don’t think I had any Autobots. 😮
Ive got Metroplex. Wanting a Fortress Maximus but they set you back between £500 and £1000, depending on condition.
Will try and get some pictures up of my collection on here.
This is the only picture I have found of what one looks like. Click link and scroll down to Fairey Swordfish I or II, then have a look at the Mk.IV
Some later marks of Swordfish had enclosed cabins and I believe that is what it is.
I just love the sleek P40. Has anyone ever fitted a Merlin in one? I bet it would have appreciated the upgrade, just as the P51 mustang did.
Steve 🙂
During the war the P-40F had the Merlin engine in it. I believe there is one under restoration in Australia or New Zealand.
The FW-190 is one fo the Flug Werk new builds.
