I don’t recall the reg of it, but the Sea Fury at DX from what I’d seen is coming on in leaps and bounds. She looks very nice indeed.

I’m sure I read somewhere that it also to do with rules governing twin engine high speed aircraft, that is why the Tigercat is leaving aswell.
I also remember hearing that Mr Grey would not be able to fly it on these shores because of rules governing the age you could fly twin aircraft.
Please correct me if i am misinformed
I don’t know where it is but there is information on their website about it

I like the pic of the F-16s with the spitfire XVIII
I have always been a builder of Airfix kits, only recently have i moved onto Tamiya, and it will be a shame if they do close. I have all of their 1:24 kits except for the Sea Harrier and they are great models, still got a load more 1:48 kits aswell to build in one of my cupboards. I just hope they can release the 1:48 Canberra models before they close, if they do close that is.
As far as I know the Shackleton wasn’t going in and is staying outside, but as the new conservation area is large enough to take it it should be next along with the Victor for restoration hopefully.
It will be going in according to the hangar tour on the website, also the Hastings has to go in aswell. Remember they haven’t finished everything yet and won’t be officially open until next year
I’m sure they are going to roll that Mitchell one day
Isn’t there an F111 in the building which represents the USAF contribution
Live under the flightpath to RAF Northolt so regurlarly get aircraft flting pretty low over the house, mainly 32sqn aircraft and small biz jets, but we get the occasional herc, P3, C-17, Tornados (they came for the photo day) and the BBMF
Is that Beaufighter being dismantled for a new owner then ?
I expect it will be dismantled in the future once sold but that is as far as they have got with the restoration. The nose was on at one point but they had to take it off to put the plumbing in.
Not sure if it was in ‘Over Here’ but Hans Dittes 109 is now owned by the Messerschmitt Foundation in Germany if you click the link you can see a couple of pics taken by Kenneth, along with its stable mate
I like the pic of the lanc with its undercarriage down and the Spit and Hurri looking like they are about to attack it.
In one of the books I have at home there was a four engined bomber designed and flown that used the design, think it was called the Vickers Windsor, but never went further than the prototype
Out of curiosity, what happened to the Beverley?
I can remember it standing outside many years ago, but wasn’t anywhere to be seen when I visited last summer.
The beverly was scrapped many years ago and replaced by the fibre glass spit and hurricane. I think the cockpit survives somewhere.
